bits or parts on there car but not a clue what they do or why they fitted them,they just fit them cus they sound good on the spec or look good

world cup x member but the car doesnt leave the road

cibies but the car doesnt come out at night

roller top mount cause they were in retro ford last month

coil over cause they sound good

 

 

just askin after seein a few threads askin what thing are for and why 2 fit them

mine has wheels but its driveway bound :lol:

 

a 30 year old 6 dial dash is worthless for acuracy :lol:

 

i have a stalk coming off the steering wheel but my indicators dont work , you know what its like :lol:

I had a tacho with gear change on my dads capri . Dunno why its was automatic . Looked good . Waste of time .

This'll get ya,

 

my mk1 has had drilled pieces of angle iron welded to the chassis

just underneath the bulkhead :?:|

 

I think its all a case of fitting it cuz ya want it and its an excuse to fiddle :lol::wink:

My front struts have been described a "wedged" roll top Bilsteins by its previous owner, I've no idea what springs are on it, but I'd really like to know what "wedged" means :?

Thats a wedged strut mate, it's when you weld little steel triangular bits to the bottom of the strut to add strength.

 

All I know is i've written up a huge list for my mk1 capper and I don't know what half of it does
