Wessie Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 was a passenger in a mk1 escort estate many years ago when my mate rolled it at about 75 mph don't know how many times but ended up a good 50 yards down the road and i ended up in the boot but all 5 of us in there where fine and no one had seat belts on then about 10 years ago i rolled my nissan at about 80 did a jump over a humped back bridge and rooled down a 20 foot bank agian no seat belts and all 4 of us got out unhurt i think i've been lucky fookin ell ! someone upstairs definalty loves you !

We were both uninjureed until the numbnuts undid his seat belt without considering the consequences! He fell straight on top of me his head hit mine, knocked us both out and broke my nose!

I was driving like an arse to impress my new boyfriend (years ago) when I lost control of my Mk1 Escy and hit a Cornish Stone wall just off a roundabout It put my passenger wheel through the floorpan to the shocked look in my boyfriends face We pushed the car over and dragged it home by his dad's Sierra who came and got us. Can't have been that bad though Boyfriend went out the following day and bought me another Mk1. He'll never learn

When Guy rolled the Sierra mentioned in my post he was above me but held on to the wheel when he undid his belt. Then he proceded to stamp on my head as he tried to climb out...

Stu_B Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 I rolled a mini!! Overtaking & something came the other way. I slammed on the brakes, the brakeline split and cos they were drums on a dual circuit, the opposite wheels locked and sent it into a spin through a hedge on the nearside!! The front of the car hit the bank below the hedge and flipped it over, only problem was the field the other side was about 5 feet below the road and sloped! rolled a couple of times and ended up on the passenger side, I wasn't lucky enough to have anyone there to break my fall when I undid my seatbelt ! It was right opposite a pub & loadsa people came running out - luckily some banger boys were there with a trailer & gave me a lift before the old bill turned up It does go slow motion it's wierd, I remember all the junk on the floor suddenly being on the roof, seeing green through the windscreen, and seeing cracks appear!!

Rolled a mk III cortina on holiday in Ireland whilst taking directions from my rather drunk uncle, he had a tad of difficulty with left and right, sending me into a field, thankfully we ended up on the wheels. He had no idea what had happened in the morning!

I knew I'd find the thread somewhere I had a little Blue 1300 Mk1 Escort as my first car. Kept it on the road for 2 years before I met this guy (also with a Mk1 and a Sit up and Beg Pop). I took him out in said Escort and drove like a T**T (trying too hard to impress). I lost it on a roundabout hit a Cornish Hedge and by the time the car stopped moving I was looking at the road from the drivers door window. We got out pushed her back on her wheels and towed her home. Looking at the damage it wasn't that bad really. Was gonna carry out the repair work but unfortuately a not so safe wall beat us to it. It fell over, crushing poor Escort underneath. Now the boys won't let me forget it. Let's put it this way, I was gutted so I won't be making that mistake again.
