lazy people

today i had to go 20 miles to pick up a pallet of bits and move it less than 50 yards...in the same compound!!!!!!.........just because a fork truck driver couldnt be bothered

 

so does any one know lazy people like that or have to work with people like it ....no wonder this country is going down hill

I work in a building where most people have back problems who cant lift anything heavy, dunno what their excuse is for all the light stuff they don't move either!

When I was studying at college I used to work for a removals company, working for the DSS. The civil servants or robots as I call them would put a job in to move a foot rest! A fookin foot rest that weighs no more than can of coke. We would have to go out in the van and pick up this footrest and move it sometimes only a desk away. If there was two of you, one would end up looking like a spare prick in an orgy. I think some people just took the piss

i work for a smal company and if you dont graft, your out. i did a 16 hour shift yesterday and its not looking good today either

 

i cant stand people who think i'm a mug for doing it either, they cant understand why i dont (in their words) "play the system" and i cant understand how they can sleep at night. they're the reason i have to work so damm hard to fix the mess!

Here here, as they say in the House of Lords. I work for myself, so that helps to get you motivated, but I would hate to go home at night thinking that I haven't earnt my money for that day.....it's all about integrity for me.

 

And don't get me started on the "sickie" concept. I know of people that will work out that they are still entitled to so many days sick leave for the year.......so take them before time runs out!!...What the.....?

we get people all the time that insist on us carrying them out of the house! they dont get carried anymore unless we have to. quite often you turn up and the first thing said is your gonna need a stretcher half the time they dont even get taken to hospital they are that ill

 

I'd "accidentally" drop them off the stretcher mate

 

My best "paramedic" type story is from the forgotten voices book of WW1 anecdotes. Two British guys were captured by the Germans and put on stretcher duty. They were carrying an injured German back to the hospital when they came upon a wounded Tommy, so they promptly oiked the kraut off into a ditch and took the British guy to the German field hospital.....No wonder we won!

I asked a guy at work to clean out under a sink as there had been rats in the cupboard and they had shit in there.

 

While dragging on a cigarette he refused to clean it because he couldn't be sure what he might catch from it!

My mates a lorry driver and he just sits in the cab waiting for it to be unloaded. But that's because it's not his job to unload the wagon as he doesn't work for the company that's doing the unloading.

 

I don't know if this falls into lazyness or jobsworth-ness or both. I worked at a company which was having new carpet tiles fitted over the weekend. The staff in this one large office weren't told they had to move the desks to one side of the office so the carpet tile fitters could get started. They all left at 5pm on the friday.

 

When the carpet fitters arrived they said 'what's this? They should have been moved'. So the sales office manager (a 30-odd year old mother of two) said 'Ok, give us a hand, we'll do it together' and the carpet fitters said 'No. It's not our job. They should have been moved before we arrived'.

 

So these fat burley blokes all sat around and watched poor Lisa having to move these heavy desks (about 15 of them) to one end of the office.

well im a lorry driver and yeah suppose im lazy cos i dont get out the cab to load unload. but as i drive a lorry that carrys roro containers all i have to do is sheet them haul them to destination of choice ie landfill or transfer staion unsheet undo back door tip shut back door then back on the road we only cover surrey but some of the other drivers wont cover any of the sites east of leatherhead. then they call themselves lorry drivers
