MattJ Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 I was all set to go to the Retro Rides show but didn't realise what a "selfish ba5tard" i was. Suffice to say, i spent the day in a musium looking at old stones and paintings of clouds. So, was Retro Rides show any good? I hoping it was rubbish.
Doc Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 yep ! it was good show , lots of cool cars other than ford , Good location for a show and perfect for an OSF trackday , Nice Nice Track . Sunday i wasnt there but the Vintage cars were out in force and givin it full on powerslides Heres some pics from another forum ! Some old nag parked by the beer tent... surely not? some one tell him pre-68 is coming! Just loved the Patina on ths one (below) but sadly its being restored.... :-[ ^^^ One of only 2 2 stroke Saab Sonets left on the road according to the owner. And I just luuuurved those VSCC racers. WANT! Chucking those things sideways through the hairpin on 4 ply tyres... nutters. total respec' WOOOOOOOOOAAAAHHHH! love the engine block on the luggage rack... Woah, great day.

Mr Sam Posted August 13, 2007 Report Posted August 13, 2007 was a fecking awsome day out ill get round to uploading my pics at some point the swedish guy with that amazon totally didnt get the 'retro-rides' scene one bit as he judged my car and just didnt understand the point in it at all some great track action the YB powered dolly sprint was lifting a wheel out the corners, Rich Savs escort sounds sexual round a track at pod all you get is straight line all out bang on twisty bits get to hear the whole rev range, even though you cant see it you know exactly who it is great to see Doc again also i was chatting to BC off RR and some chap goes hello Sam.......... FOGGY!!!!!!!!!!! not seen him for 2 years great day out only thing that spoiled it for me was the god awful food that wasnt really fit for human consumption
