gaz knows fook all about turbos, hes stuck in his own stupid world (gazikstan) he claims this and that but never comes up with any proof to his bullshit

 That's what you think slow boy but i know more about turbos engines than you do plus i've had lots of them ( not cossies but an engines an engine  ) . The proof is everywhere mate just look at the ford fair trackday then = 350+ bhp turbos racing 230bhp atmos and not catching them  They can only catch up on very long straights /motorways and if you don't like it then though titty !!!!!!!:lol::lol:

Gaz meant his is a street car so has lights, indicators etc....all adds up on weight

Looks like what we need is a sorted 200bhp na cossy to go up against a 300 bhp sorted turbo to see whos right :D

i mentioned to cossie matt @ silverstone that i would like him to have a go in mine some time, he said he would love to

so the next time were at a trackday its all his to give a real verdict to the n/a v turbo debate

 I cant see wheel spin being too much of a problem Gaz. Im not running 13's on this one. Being in my friends flat 6 turbo, it does have a lot of lag but when its on boost, it pulls in each gear for ages no quick gear changes needed you can just enjoy the force of the g's for a while!

Don't compare your mates proper turbo flat 6 porsche turbo motor to a yb turbo install mate as there's no comparision . The porsche engine and car is far superior in every way to an old escort though you should be able to give him a fright off the lights and around the slower corners but everywhere else you'll get toasted !!!!!!!

Sambo trust me a 200bhp atmo engine is as fast as a 300bhp turbo engine because a turbo engine has a shit power delievery which goes like this = foook all power ,fooook all power , foooook all power , whoooosh , wheelspin , change up !!!!!!!!!

Have you been in a properly mapped 300bhp turbo car Gaz ... ??

errrrr just a few mate

All i know is my friends 330hp porsche is awesome and ridiculously quick. True though, you do need big roads for it cos it needs a run up! but when it gets going, it is great. Although i think it may make a difference that it is a 3.3ltr 6 cylinder engine compared to a 2.0 4 pot?

Obviously not!, I hate to say this Gaz as I don't know you personally but you're wearing blinkers! - its not a personal attack but there are many properly built and mapped cars out there that you're doing a massive injustice too & the people who build them.

Sure a stock cosworth done on the cheap with the boost wound way off the clock will crap itself in some form fairly quickly. BUT a pukka one won't.

Take your atmo for instance - did you cut corners on the quality of the components? - I doubt it, the same applies to turbos. It is very easy to cut corners on a turbo unit & these are the ones you see in your field of view.

Soap box put away - don't take it personally bud

I NEVER take it personally Jay :ykt: (unlike some  ) but all i'm saying is a 300 bhp turbo yb isn't any faster than a 200 odd bhp atmo engine is except on long straights/motorways  . It's true , everyone knows it's true , the turbo posse know it's true + the atmo posse knows it's true :ykt:

i honestly think that all depends on what track you would be using bud.you are gonna have for's and against all over the place on this tho m8 as you can see from the posts in this thread.they both good engines and it will depend on what you want out of a car at the end of the day imo.after all look on this forum people are running atmo, turbo, supercharged and nos.it ie a case of you makes your choice m8,as we are all different.im sure you will be more than happy with what ever route you go.good luck
