Mick The Mig Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 Being an old git I have noticed over the years the same old things being written in the small-ads and e-bay etc. If you are new to buying older cars or spares BEWARE. Ad says, I bought it as a project but don't have the time now. Means, When i got it home I realised what a dog it is. Ad says, Would be a good start for a project car. Means, I bought two cars and these are the bits I don't want, Ad says, It runs a bit lumpy, just needs the carbs tuning Means, The heads cracked. Ad says, Engine for sale, recently removed from car. Means, It's been kicking around in my shed for years. Finally a word for the older members. If you son/daughter comes home and says this cars a bargain the guy only wants £200 send them back to offer £50 and spend the rest on a welding set, you'll need it. If this all sounds like a miserable old b'tard sounding off. I assure you it's written from personnal experience.
sab6024 Posted August 16, 2007 Report Posted August 16, 2007 I've sold a couple cars on ebay with the words....New car forces sale, translates to.......this car knackered, needed something reliable
