Many old cars had proper chassis' so it could well have a wooden floor

toad650 Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 morgans still have wooden chassis!!! and F1 cars have a wooden running board underneath....
john_3.0s Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 yup my dads morris 8 has got wooden floor, you have to unscrew a bit of it to get at the master cylinder
Nettles Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 Trust me to miss this! Yes the old Pop’s and Anglia’s from the 1950’s definitely had wood floorboards. I had to remove them from one of mine. There’s a grove down each side of the chassis rail to locate them. My plan is to weld a complete new metal floor into the cab so the whole lot can be installed as one piece. Antz if your mate buys it make sure he joins OSF and get him to post up some photo’s.
