Nice 1!!!

Ive got to admit I am quite impressed with how quick a standard 2.0L zetec is as my mate has got one in a Mk2 Escy and it goes really well! Couldnt believe he did a 13.6 sec pass at pod aswell with an unlightened car!!! :ykt:

Any more info on this one please James  . Do you mean unlightened as in steel panels , glass windows , full interior , street rubber , exhaust system etc etc or unlightened on slicks with no exhaust and all the interior missing ? :?

 Asked for what Vista ? I just agreed with Toby that it's another 150 bhp standard zetec with thousands of pounds worth of bits on it :?

Actualy Gaz the only expecsive bit are the jenvy bodies and a Mega sqirt ecu, the rest is home built....Hardly breaking the bank.

P.S Well done Mike good numbers mate

What did i mean then Vista ? Are you a mind reader now  . He says he's got a standard zetec install with 150 bhp , then Toby finds out it's got full engine management , jenvey throttle bodies , Tony Law exhaust etc so not the cheap standard zetec install we all first thought it was , is it ?

Gaz we all know you dislike zetecs, fair enough but why must you reply with some sort of snide comment to any post relating to one? I dont like pintos but i dont feel the need to run people down about them, do us a favor and wind your neck in.

 What snide comment was that then ? Stop causing trouble please and did your car run when it was still being built then ? :?

RChambers on turbosport had a standard 2 litre zetec with throttle bodies , emerald engine management etc etc and his made the same 150 odd bhp so this seems to be the normal figuire for them

gaz, please can we have less of the negative/sarcastic comments? they're getting old, they really are.
 less from you would be better so get on topic

Gaz, I'd appreciate it if you didn't hijack my thread with Pinto propaganda. Where did I say it was a mega money install? I'll buy you a pint if you can find that post. No, I'll save you the time. I never said it. I got a 30% discount on the TBs, and use the megasquirt ECU, so hardly bank breaking.

The 'totally standard, unmodified Zetec' I talked about was standard internals. The lump itself hasn't changed. The bits that bolt to it have.

I didn't fit a pinto because I didn't want to drive really fast in a straight line. It's a van that's used every day. Please understand that people have different tastes and different needs for what they want out of a car.

Now BUTT OUT of my thread because I don't want to listen to your 'blah-blah-pinto-power-is-great' anymore.

Thank you.

It drives fantastic compared to before. It's really responsive now. I went to the local garage who are Mk2 escort fans, and one of the guys there is building a zetec escort. I took him for a spin, and accidentally left a nice big black 11 while leaving the forecourt.
