Anglia68 Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 My works van is a 1996 Ford Tranny and for a minute there I thought I would no longer be able to run into London but I entered my reg number and my vans not affected, . iT WILL FROM 2010 UNLESS ITS MODIFIED ] Yes,you're right,I misread it. So from 2010 I will no longer be able to deliver goods into London unless I pay £100 per day, yeah, right,I can see that happening. Heathrow's included which is a real bastard as I sometimes have to go there to pick up goods that are too heavy for a car. I can see a lot of companies moving to outside the M25 but I expect that won't bother Ken.
russ105e Posted October 23, 2007 Report Posted October 23, 2007 We've got to replace our recovery trucks at work and they ain't cheap. But think about the 1000's of other buisnesess it will affect.Ice cream vans etc and school minibuses and the like. Can't believe he's got away with this.Would be worth having a whip round to get a crack head to take him out

I am surprised no-one has already had a pop at him, considering he goes everywhere by his beloved shite public transport. How comes no-one sees him out and about???? LIVINGSTONE... your a t*sser!
Mr.Sumo Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 No one sees the prick out and about JimBob cos he goes everywhere round London in private cabs FFS Well , with his masterly plan he has just cost my boss .... £40,000-£50,000 x 3 Yep , he has got to replace 3 of our Artic units .... Livingstone . And there was me thinking Dick Turpin was dead...............
DarrenM Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 I'm glad I left London for Rural Herefordshire but it can't be long before some of these measures such as road tolls and emission checks spread throughout the country. I'm sure Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool etc. are all taking an interest!
Rick Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 kinell that is shit... for you londoners robbing barstewards. but then again il be able to buy a nice cheap van from that area and drive it back up here

Not wishing to start a fight with all of you lot but i have been to london a few times dureing the last year or so and it gets worse every time i go. Tuffty Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 we are changing all the logbooks on our vans to say they are petrol its any easy way of gettng round it if u know a mot tester Probbaly not a brilliant plan to post that on a public forum, but otherwise a damn good plan
Muttley MK2 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 I run a merc 5 ton recovery truck and rather than scrap it I am fitting a petrol engine, with unleaded now cheaper than diesel its better than scrapping the old bugger
oliwally Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 I run a merc 5 ton recovery truck and rather than scrap it I am fitting a petrol engine, with unleaded now cheaper than diesel its better than scrapping the old bugger then LPG the bugger and not pay the Congestion Charge either
Muttley MK2 Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Fookin brilliant mate I'll do it now
over_head_cam Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Red Ken is a fookin prick. I wish he would fook off He is a Capitalist lying hypocritical faggot who lives as a righty and expects us to live like lefties. At least with Maggie to could keep more of what you earned. As as usual, only the honest motorist will have to pay. All the theiving scum lowlifes won't have their shtters registered in their name so they'll get away with it (as fookin usual) Why can't hey just leave us the fook alone? Tossers
Jeff HPE Motorsport Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 Yeah! Cameras are already up round here. We only have ourselves to blame as no-one will stand up for anything anymore, so he knows he can get away with it all. Apparently there will be no discounts/exemptions for people who live within the zone. I will not be dictated to about what I can or cannot drive, & I will defend my motor vehicles right upto when I go to court. This country is a fooking joke, laws are put in place to protect the guilty, and we, the motorist have to pay for everything. Get this, they want Livingstone in place for the olympics so bad, there may not be an election, and even if there is, they know Borris Johnson doesn't stand a hope in hell, thats why the Conservatives have put him forward. Until someone actually makes a stand, the only vehicles left on Londons roads will be busses. Ken has even upset the cabbies by making a rule up to have all black cabs running on LPG by a certain date... who has to pay for that? the cabbies, that's why they are annoyed! Guess who I will be burning on my bonfire this year??? yep, thats right... LIVINGSTONE! Oi Livingstone, fook off and get yourself a fooking life you ferrit faced dick head Sorry, rant over. That cock sure knows how to wind me up!!!
Pintoman Posted October 24, 2007 Report Posted October 24, 2007 I sympathise with everyone living in the london area., you can only wring so much money out of people. Sooner or later things will backfire on Livingstone but by then no doubt he will have decided to retire just in time to let someone else carry the can. I used to do a lot of business with companies in London but in protest to the congestion charges I stopped dealing with them - it's not their fault but as a matter of principal I refuse to pay the congestion charge necessary to visit them. Who loses out, - not me! It's the London economy as there's plenty of companies elsewhere eager to have the business. I remember a tv interview with a yank when he was asked what he thought of the incredible petrol price rises in the UK, caused by government tax. He said they only get away with it because the British just lie down and let it happen. He said that it will never happen in the US because the people wouldn't let it and politicians would back down rather than face the consequences and he's right. What would happen if traffic driving into London from all directions suddenly stopped and blocked all movement in and out of the capital? London can't survive without a working road network. That would get the point across to Livingstone, the government and the country. Just a thought...
Rick Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 ^get yer handbrakes on road strike. you know the posties are up for a bit of that

Danmex Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Glad I've moved back to Leeds, they're solving their congestion problems by building bigger and better roads, Ken would have a fit
