or the crossflow that goes brooOOOOoooom brooooOOOOOOOoooom...

 

but dammit the crosflow has rattle, so i like pinto, more power.... brooooooooom brooooooom, or with 3 kg flywheel broom broom broom very fasty indeedy.

 

What you reckon, broooom broooom or broooOOOOoooom broooOOOOOm (with a rattle)?

Yes, high corner speeds + no baffles in sump = Zero oil pressure = rattley crank :lol:

 

Crank is now reground :mrgreen:

 

X-flows deffinatly sound 100 times better than Pinto :thumbsup:

Both are fab and proper oldskool power :ykt: . A quick x-flow costs more than a quick pinto so keep this in mind if wanting a fast car :thumbsup:

Anyone know where I can get one of the elusive large CC AX block crossflows from ?

 

Been looking for ages for a decent block, these engines are shrouded in myth and can be taken up to 2.0 and even 2.2, they were made in South Africa for motorsport applications but rarely turn up for sale.

 

Its my intention to stick one in my Mex and give the Pintos a run for their money.

 

It aint gonna be cheap I know but it'll be worth it if I can get 200 + out of an old Crossflow !

Don't be drawn in by the X-flow propaganda there ain't that much in it
