bmxdave Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Just got my new insurance renewal quote. Im paying £500 and odd at the moment, with no no claims and no experience at 19 years old. Now im 20, with a years no claims, and a years driving. They want £700. How the hell does that make sense. Idiots. They just lost a customer.
Smudger105e Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Ring them up and tell them!! You might get a better deal.
escortmad79 Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Cos of all the unishured Apple Pies on the road the honest drivers are having to pay extra! My RS Turbos insurance has gone up again this year!
bmxdave Posted November 26, 2007 Author Report Posted November 26, 2007 Ive rung up and when the lad on the other end was absolutely clueless (i dont mean he wasnt sure, i mean he was an idiot) i gave him some abuse and lost it a bit. Not very nice i know but i was annoyed. My premium shouldve gone down, say £50, aso in theory they want £250 more then i should be paying. Im gonna shop around now, F@ck them.
Mr.Sumo Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 i always use www.confused.com m8...if that helps
Twinkle Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 what they tend to do is give you a good price the first year then just send you out an expensive renewal because a lot of people cant be arsed to shop around and sign them and send them back and think that because it was a good price the year before it will automatically be the same best proce this year!!
bortaf Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 That's usually how it goes, change every year mate, get em fighting for your monay not realying on you not being botherd to shop around
Toby Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 Insurance seems to be one area where being a loyal customer doesn't get rewarded!!
sab6024 Posted November 27, 2007 Report Posted November 27, 2007 I've shopped around in the past but always come back to www.quotelinedirect.co.uk or hastings is supposed to really good for quotes Give them a go
Admin Vista Posted November 27, 2007 Admin Report Posted November 27, 2007 Insurance seems to be one area where being a loyal customer doesn't get rewarded!! Nope the RAC are at it too. My renewal for Joint membership? £159 If I was to sign up online for a new joint membership? £122 Now £37 doesn't sound like a lot, but if they're doing that to all of their members, that's collectively a lot of cash!
