Radio codes

Can anyone help me with my Ford radio code, has anyone got access to such information ?

 

I don't want to pay the main dealers, if someone on here can help I'd rather donate some money to oldskoolford instead

 

I had to disconnect the Battery this weekend and have got to code the radio, the car was only cheap and never came with any paperwork so don't know what the code is.

need to know the model and the serial number on the lable on the side of the unit (need to remove it to see it).

Could she not just have an educated guess at what the number might be

I remember years ago when these new fandangled key coded ford stereo's were the ones to have, there was a spate of cars in Cardiff broken into and had the stereos pinched, about 150 in a weekend if I remember rightly, all because of the silly fookers thinking banging them in the freezer was gonna get rid of the need for a code

Well is was freezing last night and it still don't work today

 

Although the car is now fixed again so next job will be to remove the radio when I get 5 mins

 

Tim, is a 7000 RDS from a 1997 car, can you retrieve the code without removing the radio ?
