dragaddict Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 i run a 5 speed T5 cosworth gearbox and it holds power very well
James HPE Motorsport Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 well after bortaf's bit of info its no use saying the rocket 4speed is better than the type 9 5speed as the ratios are the same!!! Personally if I wasnt worried so much about weight I would put a 5speed straight in mine!!!
BaileyMex Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 i run a 4 speed, yeah motorway drivins a bit loud, but ur drivin a old skool ford u want comfort buy some new crap thing... I dont think thats the issue mate For example, driving in a convoy to the pod doing over 7000rpm for a couple of hours takes it's toll on the engine
ratman Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 As long as it hasnt got a 2.04 first gear, they are no good for the pod or pulling away quickly, you want a 2.48 first gear really or something like that I used to have a 2.04 first gear and i was in 1st forever with a 4.1 diff Ive got a 3.36 1st 1.81 2nd 1.26 3rd 1.00 4th & 0.825 5th with a 4.1 and 185/60/13 is that any good as my ratios an't on bortaf list
