Seinfeld Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Hi mates, my wife and me want to visit the classic ford show this year but have now clue where to stay over the whole weekend. Since we have a longer trip from Germany to the UK we don't want to sleep in a tent Is there any favorably bed and breakfast place you could recommend? CheeRS Sascha BTW: I didn't know where to post this question, so if I'm wrong please feel free to shift it to the right section
over_head_cam Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Moved to a more prominent place. And a free bump
Guest MK1gaz Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Tents are best as there will be lots of people camping i reckon . Very good atmosphere as well with beer and BBQ's
Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 9, 2008 Admin Report Posted April 9, 2008 You are more than welcome to join us all with your tent as we all camp at Classic Ford Show, however, if you want more comfortable accommodation, please check out the Santa Pod website accommodation links >>>>> http://www.santapod.co.uk/g_stay.php

CheeRS Sascha BTW: I didn't know where to post this question, so if I'm wrong please feel free to shift it to the right section Sascha, there´s only one place to stay at the Pod and that is the camping site at the Pod, otherwise you´ll miss all the fun. There´s nothing wrong with driving over from Germany and sleeping in a tent You won´t be the only Germans there either, from what part of Germany are you from? Dave
Seinfeld Posted April 9, 2008 Author Report Posted April 9, 2008 @ all: Thanks for your reply. Well, the main thing is that my wife does not really want to stay in a tent. One thing would be to leave her at home on the other hand the tickets have been a birthday present from her so I think that she would be upset if she's not gonna join that trip So maybe I'm gonna check out the Santa Pod website. Personally, I do not have a problem with sleeping in a tent but .... you know ... maybe I can push her in the right direction ... @ Dave: I saw you FK's in the DRIVE magazine, nice job, dude! We're living next to the border to Luxembourg/Belgium, Region Bitburg (maybe know of its beer). Again: Thanks to all! One thing I've missed: Is there any problem with other car brands? My company car is a Opel/Vauxhall Astra. Since my OSF is under restoration currently I have to drive with that one . Not that I awake in the night and see it burning ... CheeRS Sascha
Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 9, 2008 Admin Report Posted April 9, 2008 All non Ford's will be directed to the main visitor car park

ocean wasp Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 This is a really nice hotel http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/925 ... ?ptLink=hd Its about a 25min drive to the Pod from the hotel. Nice and clean, had a recent revamp, staff are friendly, breakfast good and theres a nice pub just down the road for an evening meal and a few jars. Stayed there last year for Classic Ford as the missus don't do camping.
