My favorite car film is without a doubt Manta Manta! Unfortunately the Capri in it doesn't get much screen time though.

Tough one, because one car chase doesn't make it a 'car film'.

 

My favourite film with a car chase is The Italian Job. i can watch that all the way through without having to fast forward it to the good bits (like in Bullitt).

 

My favourite film about a car (hence a 'car film') is Christine.

 

However, American Graffitti is a very close second. And Back To The Future.
