to be honest we do live in a decent area, weve had no cars touched by crims ever (touch wood) and even the local idiots have stayed away with the footballs recently, the nieghbours seem to think that they own the side of the road thier houses are on and i was told i "lower the tone of the nieghbour hood with all my clapped out bangers, all the ones i work on are locked away in my yard and only road legal ones are ever outside usually for about 2 hours a week, the idiots cant even walk 15 seconds to an ajoining sidestreet where there is ample parking.

the nieghbours on my side have been really good, its like a war between one side of the road and the other... lets fill the street with old skool fords, what a pic that would make, mates got a zeph 10 doors down with a 351 cleveland in it, il just get him to wheel it on the street

i reckon 50 cars should do it, and ive got 20 lined up allready, to be honest i think it will be a good night, ive got a huge patio, BBQ, few beers and steaks will go down well, bring the wives and she can drive you home

Ha sounds like a laugh!:thumbsup:

luckily my neighbour who i share the drive with i get on really well with, she doesnt mind me working on the car....Just aslong as i dont leave it there for ever.

My mum used to come out an say to us "stop reving them bikes think of the neighbours" ( Who were snobs and looked down on us anyway as we were manual works and they were mostly "Profesionals") My reply was normally "F*ck the neighbours":lol::lol: I behave now though sometimes

To be honest I can see both sides of this disagreement.

If you have a large collection of cars that affects the ability of your neighbours to park near their homes when they only have one or two cars then I can see why they might get cheesed off with it.

Between the two of us we have four road legal cars but I make a point of renting space elsewhere to store the ones I'm not using so that my neighbours don't suffer for the sake of my pleasure.

Not the case at all Vista, all my own cars are on my own propperty, kept away from prying eyes under lock and key, i have only left an "unpresentable" car on my front garden on bricks for one week in 7 years of living here.

i get the odd visitor, who parks legally to drop in for a tea or whatever normally for no longer than a few hours, no screching, burnoputs or anything outside mine from any friends.

the nieghbours guest across the road on the other hand seems to think its perfectly ok to park across a dropped kerb and block 4 drives at the same time badly blocking access to mine, then when i have a polite word goes into a spaz and swears loudly at me whilst scaring the shit out of my wife and children in the car about my van thats parked 2 doors down perfectly legally, we were just off to a funeral and the wife pleaded with me not to get out the car and to just drive off.

we currently have 5 vehicles, 3 OSFs locked away from prying eyes, the wifes escort goes on the drive and my works van now on the shingle (my garden).

the nieghbours however dump thers in the road across dropped kerbs etc and wont even use thier drives in case they cant get the bin out

and heres the icing on the cake, 2 years ago this fooking tit seems to think its ok to boot a leather football all over the stret bouncing off cars up and down, 2 months ago he passed his test now tells the local kids "dont you let that ball near my car" fooking unbeleivabe!

I don't get it, if you aren't parking on the street then what's their beef?

Cos there miserable c***s who think they own the road by the sound of it Vista :lol::lol:

The old " one rule for me , one rule for them " syndrome coming in to effect here methinks

a few of our neighbours give odd looks when we've got a car on ramps, motorbikes in bits then my mates will turn up in cars or on motorbikes with nice loud cans. it gives me that little bit of enjoyment to see them squirm at not being able to say anything about it as all the cars are legal  one day we had 3 motorbikes and 4 cars parked on the road then my brother started his bike and i went in the car

Been there seen this, done it, to the point of being contacted by the council in apparent breach of planning regulations, that was December and nothing came of it. All of the vans on the public road are legal. They are only parked in places don't park. How else could we park? They're transits, not Sherman Tanks

So how many Mk2 transits would you like? We have a luton that's 23ft long, or the Mk1 recovery truck is 24ft......
