im a cyclist and a car driver ...

when im on my bike motorists that get as close as they can to me piss me off and so do the ones that come up behind you and beep bastards ...

but i dont cycle with a m8 side by side .. im not wobbly and when im changing direction i signal ...

when im driving wobbly cyclists and ppl cycling side by side piss me off ..

and i pay road tax on 3 different cars so as far as the no road tax comment goes i pay more then enough road tax already and as for insurance i have personal accident insurance so i myself am insured and if a cyclist damages your car and it has been witnessed to be their fault you can take them to small claims court ...

I have a question about cyclists!!!!

Why do so many insist on riding on the road when there is perfectly good ,and often better surfaced, cycle lane on the pavement next to them???

emu i dunno but it pisses me off aswell ...

if its an actual cycle track then yeah they should ride on it if you are saying why dont they ride on the path its illegal unless you have smaller thne 16 inch wheels and most adult bikes use 26inch wheels ..

and no it isnt illegal to ride side by side on the road its not illegal to ride in the middle of the lane either

No, proper cycle tracks .

If there is no cycle path then fair enough.

We have a fair few of them around here, and most run alongside the road so it isnt like its miles out of their way  Yet they still insist on pedalling down the road, even the national speed limit stuff

I'm not keen on cyclists on the road either but can't see the need to make them pay any road tax, I do however think the insurance should be mandatory for any road users, including cyclists and especially HORSES, now they really don't belong on the road.

Cycling side by side really grips my shit, I was held up for miles on a busy road the other week by two planks doing this. Beeped the horn as I went by and got an empty coke can thrown at me, needless to say I stopped and words were exchanged!

I'm with Messenjah on this. Most cyclists have cars too, so they do pay road tax in one form or another. Cycle lanes are a joke. "Lets just paint a white line and let the cyclists ride on that side".

I don't ride side by side and it does piss me off when they do it, but they've got as much right to be on the road as the rest of us, so I don't blow my horn as I pass.

I've had cars overtake me, then pull over to let someone out ten metres in front of me, so I have to then go round them. Why can't they just wait a second or two and pull in behind me?

And the number of times cars have pulled out on me!

When I'm in my car, I dislike cyclists a little bit. When I'm on my bike I hate drivers with a passion.

don't get me started on cyclists!!! not after the night before last!! was drivin home from my mates about just after 1 at night, bike rides straight out of a side road litertally 5 yards infront of me, i slammed on, realised i wasn't gonna stop before i hit him, so tried to swerve, felt the back end start to swing to the left, so tried to straighten up then all the weight at the back snapped right and the car just spun 180 and put me up the curb on the other side of the road about 2 foot off a brick wall

i'm a cyclist, although spend most the time off road when i do ride on the road i always signal and keep right to the side of the road, yet there are still drivers that love to get as close as possible, those drivers that do it on purpose often find themselves with a size 9 spd print on their cars
