james1700 Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 i found some small bubbles on my rear arch and on the c pillar so i might have the 1/4 replaced ? a new quarter panel for some rust bubbles im spending nothin more on ours, maybe some new rear tyres as the snow and ice come il still be driving hard, we dont whimp out up north
atomic punk Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Stripping my Escort down properly now I have somewhere to do it; Get rid of all the surface rust, some on every panel, will take a while to do, the door bottoms need to be repaired, need to sort the hole under the fuel tank, and the C post, hopefully save up to get it sprayed or I might have a go myself The Cortina needs tie bar bushes so I feel a set of poly bushes coming up, I'll also wirebrush out under the arches and re underseal them to stop the salt getting at the steel...... Quite looking forward to getting stuck in
Tom Posted September 10, 2006 Author Report Posted September 10, 2006 if i'm gonna do its gonna be done properly

PaulAshman Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Quite a bit hopefully if money and weather allows. Things cost so much now and I don't have a garage so I work outside with a thick coat, hot mug of tea and a gazebo if it is raining. Paint inside floor, replace all bushes with poly ones, all hoses replace with blue samco ones, tidy and paint engine bay, do a round head lamp conversion, fit quarter bumpers and cibies, spray underside of bonnet and do a mass sealant on the underside. Shit man, looking at that list I am going to be bloody busy. Plan is to start Nov 1st and have done by 1st March.
steve dray Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Fit my T5 gearbox, cossie clutch and flywheel, wip out the engine change the sump and fit some heavy duty engine mounts, fit a full cage (if I can find one!) and maybe some fibre glass doors. Thats November sorted, then in December......................................!! (Joking !)
marky4 Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 there's a few things i'd look to do but will have to see if i can afford to anything once my extension is done
