Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 Call me an anorak, but there will be nothing to do on my Old Skool Ford's this winter! I hate doing anything when it is freezing, so I get my servicing and trumpy jobs out of the way before hand. Hence, I have just sorted the heater motor in the Capri, and I have a clutch to do on the Anglia as soon as I get one. Hope to have the Anglia sorted for the Ashford meet! But it will be a sad winter for me, as I have decided not to drive my two because they love trowing salt everywhere in the mountains, even when it isn't icy!!! So I will be having it large on my scooter over winter!
perry Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 yeah its almost like the government doesnt want classic cars on the roads mine will spend most of its time under a cover on the drive as i am lucky enough to be a 15 min walk from the shop my car will spend most of its time at the pod
105Nick Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 No way are you selling the van!!! Me? Get the engine back together & in the anglia, new MoT, and go play in the snow!! Been seriously thinking of selling the MK1, 80% sure that's what I'm going to do now, not that I want to but fact is, I don't think i'm ever going to get it done, as the anglias turned out to be a full project too and its giiving me so much fun, and is cheap to run, so hpoefully that will pay for a new front panel and wings from expresses, plus get new rear arches on & rear valance. Just seems to make more sense that way as I can only drive one car at a time, the anglia's tax free and the escort is just outside that, plus I can only afford insurance on one car. Oh and my dad wants to have a crack at getting the Issetta ack on the road this winter (what he says every year), but hopefully I'll get him to dragit back so as we can have a go at it.
