orionmojo Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i'm bored of my orion had t for two years, loed every minute but its now either turbo it, or sell it for another 200 quid runaround. i know you guys on here dont care, but its retro rather than osf (nearly as rare too ) and in 5 years tie it'll be a sought after motor i know. anyway. just thought i'd share it here it is anyway. i'm so deluded i didn't want to mod it too much incase someone wanted a nice clean example if i dont change my mind, it'll be going in oct
antz Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 it does lookk very nice and clean. keep it!

RFChris Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Its too damn clean...keep it. Chris
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 That only needs one thing. Scrapping...!
antz Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 That only needs one thing. Scrapping...! its too clean to scrap! keep it!
Admin Mk2Jo Posted September 11, 2006 Admin Report Posted September 11, 2006 It looks like a very clean car and you won't get anything anywhere near as clean for the money you might get for it ..... so, either keep it .... or sell it and get an osf .... look at Viv Ashton .. she got her little Fester for £26 and that's a proper osf
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Why don't you modify it. Make a nice table that.
atomic punk Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Why don't you modify it. Make a nice table that. Tad harsh I fear........ Mate, think about it - if you sell it will you regret it? If yes, dammit don't sell it.
antz Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Mate, think about it - if you sell it will you regret it? If yes, dammit don't sell it. DAMN RIGHT!
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 You saw my old one mate, the Blue 1.4 Ghia in blast from the past! You said mine was clean, & so is yours. I sold mine at the beginning of the year, & I do regret it a tad, so much so, I may be buying it back Anyway, the values of Ford Orions are going up, so if it as clean as it looks, keep it! Why don't you do what I was going to do to mine, if it isn't a 1.6, put a 1.6 injection in it, with a good Mk3 Fiesta SI gearbox, exhaust pipe, and you will be well away, plus it all looks quite standard! So Don't Sell It, Or I Will Come And Find You!!!
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I'm only messing. It looks a tidy car, but if you're bored of it, get something else. You could always buy another orion if you regret it.
orionmojo Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 everyone dismises the orion, they restore s1 and s2 escorts, but comdemn the onion to the scrapheap. in 5 years i reckon it'll be worth its money back anyway, i think it reached rock bottom a few years ago. zetec van, so your the reason so many osf's met their death. cant scrap a car for the hell of it, and i now set the rest of the forum onto you for obviously killing so many when they weren't quite so old skool. you cant just jump on the bandwagon when its cool. you have to cut your own groove and thats when the onion comes in. they are getting rarer and nice ones are hard to find- escorts are abit easier. i still dunno though. if i could sell it to someone who'd carry on enjoying it for what it is then great, but som many others also jst see it as a shitheap 17 year old car wth a rattly cvh and they'd just scrap it, bt its way too good for that, and it'd be a shame to break it. its never been welded, and is still set for another years ticket
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 So, what we all want to know is............................. Are You Keeping It???????? Say Yes, You Know You Want To!!!
Pipster007 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 If it ain't failed on you, then why sell it Keep it as a cheap runaround
Mr Sam Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i say kepp it there one around me i seem to love it more everytime i see it its got some daft twin exit boy racer pipe sounds mean and looks boggo standard and rathewr shabby realy like them if youve gone off it sell it and buy a mk1 fiesta!!!!!!!

Naa, mate. Never scrapped a car in my life, but saved at least two from the scrappers. My Anglia failed its MOT in 1992 and has been under a very slow restoration since. My wife wants to scrap it but I won't let her.
