Or does this completley take our country for granted , they wonder why there are more levels of unemployment in our area on the news and wonder why the parks n pubs are full of students and wonder why school leavers are claiming jsa before they hit 17 in 80% of the country ........

 

 

i and the bird fancied a mcdonalds tonight on a friday we get a take out of some kind whether it be a pizza , chines etc but when i walked in my local one i couldnt beleive my eyes not one english or politically correct BRITISH member of staff to be seen in the place !!!! it took three explanations of what i wanted to order for her to understand what i wanted and then when i got home i had been given two 1/4 pounder meals rather than the mcchicken sandwich n big mac i had ordered ..

 

sorry for having a rant im not racist but when i see this happening it just makes my skin curl , my grandad and im sure many of urs fought for independency for this country and im positive that if he saw this he would be turning in the grave god bless him

Sub way just opened a new branch in my area, went in take advantage of opening deals (would never pay their stupid prices for a roll normally )

Well , not a single light coloured face in the entire shop, and every single one of them struggling to understand any orders!!

thats my main issue with them ! if your dealing with customers all day, you should have a basic knowledge of our language/the products your selling/your prices etc . . . but there always happy to grab that money out of your hand and shove it in there till

Well I have to say I would not got to a none English speaking country to live and work, as I don't speak enough of another language (I feel) to work properly. So why do people of all nationalities do that when they come here? Nothing against immigration or moving overseas to better yourself, just make sure you speak good English before you get here, not after!

they have come here to try and make a better life for themselves and their families, what the hell is wrong with that, and as has already been said, they are doin all the jobs nobody else wants to do, you are all happy to piss and moan about people moving over here, but when an english person moves off to a different country thats perfectly fine is it? the round ones!! if you all think they shouldnt be allowed to move here then we shouldnt be allowed to move to a different country and make our lives better either!! as its exactly the same thing!!

if we went to there country in thousands would they put up with us ?

there are many things that can be bought up but i commented on the staff not speaking or even looking remotely as if they understood me ...... being in the recruitment business i employ many different people and i have no reason to take a living away from them but when you walk into a a shop and there is not one english speaking or native english in there it takes the biscuit a little , its the same if you ring a helpline of any kind who do you get on the end of the phone ?????????

Talking of phone calls my mate was complaining to Bt over his business line that was meant to be moved to his new premises.

 

As usual he got to talk to India and someone he just could not understand ................. he asked to speak to an "English person" as he wasn't getting anywhere because of the language barrier, he got transfered and then told his number would be disconnected, he was racialist and the matter would be taken further.

 

After an afternoon of phone calls and groveling he finally got what he wanted his line transfered !!!!

 

 

I think it just shows that we are not in the minority and that the Government has made it so expensive to live and run a business here that large companies have to use foreign labour.

 

I have to say, i wouldn't like to be in a fast food restaurant for £5 an hour but i would have done it when i was younger and think he youngsters of today just don't want to work and are happy to stay home on the dole, at least the foreign staff want to work and work very hard for the peanuts they get.

im not that fussed about immagrants earning a living mate as i have already said to you BUT i do find it funny that 6 weeks ago i had a mcdonalds and there was good service a smile and i left with what i wanted ................

 

this time i had to repeat myself 5 times , left with the wrong meal that i had to change !!!

 

The money they earn isnt staying in the british economy its going straight accross the water to there family and off coast accounts , now if you have a look at the state of british economy at the moment you will realise that we are about 40% through a credit crunch ......

now you can just blame this quite easily on mortgages, credit cards, finance, and loans but if you look into it a bit deeper and study where most of the wages and profit go from this country only about 60% go's back into british industry 40% is lost to european countrys through people who are here earning sending there money home !!!!! you commented saying that if i think it is wrong for foreingers to live here then it is wrong for us to live elsewhere ..... well how many british people live in nepal , poland, lithuania, etc the answer is none..... now have a look at where they do live spain, australia , america , etc do you hear or find that the reason they moved there is because they want money to send home to us ???? the answer is NO you dont !!!! because we are there for completely different reasons ie retirement or because the country need trades or because of the weather it isnt because our country has gone tits , now in the future i can see that it may be because our country has gone tits but not just yet , leave it 5-10 years then britain wont stand for diddly sqaut i expect in time we will also lose the english ,scottish,welsh flags aswell

 

ffs man i dont know what kind of life you live up there in the hills of rain but come into the busy part of britian and you can notice the changes every day

 

also next time crimewatch is on have a look to see if you can spot an english , scottish , irish or welsh name

 

or when the next doris gets raped have a look at there nationality

 

or watch the news and listen to where the next bloke comes from who stabs a teenager for his mobile phone or mp3 player ???

 

as they dont like to come here and abide by british law either they seem to write one for just themselves

I think you will find the original post was with reference to that fact that after ordering his food ( several times ) , and his order being completely wrong and also the lack of understanding the basic English language is what got Chris"s goat up .

 

Whather they serve food in MaccDies is irelevent , its about the fact that the person who is serving you understands what is being said . They have chosen to take the job , then the employers should make sure you that the employee can speak / do the job they are going to be employed doing .

Well I am sorry but unless the immigrants are living in a tent (which they brought with them), shoplifting to eat, and walking to work some of their money has to be spent here. It's just not possible to spend nothing at all.

Also a good point, and don't forget that providing they're properly employed (and I doubt a mainstream employer like McDonalds would be using illegal immigrants like some restaurants do) they will also be paying income tax and national insurance. What's left of their money after that is completely up to them how they spend it. They might look critically at us for spending large sums on what to them is just a rusty old car. Remember that in many cases they're sending money home so that their families in their native lands have food to eat and warm clothes to wear in winter. Levels of state handouts in their own countries may not be as generous as in ours.

Lidl's is cheap they have about 8 people in a 3 bedroom house so they can cut cost I didnt say anywhere that they didnt spend anything at all.

There are fillipinos working on the trawlers here getting £90 a week while other crewmen on the same boat are getting £400 plus! And they're LIVING on the trawlers! and even worse the skipper actually has the audacity to charge them for staying on the boat

to be fair Mr coke bottle, my point was perfectly valid, it doesnt matter that we are not moving to ther country, brits still move to the likes of new zeland to try and better their lives, its just that people over there dont kick up a massive fuss about it!!

 

at the end of the day they are just trying to do what is best for their families, cant fault them for that, they cant help it if they cant speak english, as has already been said, it is the empolyers fault that there staff cant talk english, instead of complainin about the people who work in mcdonalds why not complain about the managers of mcdonalds who hired them, as it is their fault that the staff cannot speak english very well!
