vibrating_Cake Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 i thought you had a pinto in yours HAD
Messenjah Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 standard 2.0 pinto is 98 or 102 depending if its fixed or viscous fan
Mr Sam Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 does the fan make 4bhp difference or is there something else about them?
prefectopop Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 My standard slant six in the dart make 135BHP The 100e - ooh about 5 I think.
bortaf Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 does the fan make 4bhp difference or is there something else about them? Depends on wether you beleive ford figures TBH the RS2000 was quoted at 110 with just a different ex manifold and the 2.8i cappa gained 10 BHP over the granada 2.8i by just having twin exhaist systems but strangly kept that extra 10 when it went in the sierra with a single system But yes the viscouse will give you extra as it saps less than a fixed fan
bert Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 THe 1.6 Vtec going into my Fiesta will give 170bhp as standard
garyv6100e Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Just got hold of a new essex for my 100E with stage 3 heads and lumpy cam should be good for 170 bhp
bmxdave Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 standard 2.0 pinto is 98 or 102 depending if its fixed or viscous fan Whats an electric fan worth then? 8bhp?
bortaf Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 A viscouse saps very little power, a leccy may give you an extra 1 or 2 but only when it's off .
oldbus Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 We´re running a standard 2,9 24V in the van Standard(BOA) should be 195 BHP Electric fan and no cats should have us at about 210......and it´s not getting any more!

Wessie Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 Depends who rolling road sandspeeds 174bhp t,o,t,d 152bhp whats happening there then TOTD 'undereads' its just the rollers they have, we got the same make at college, 68 on them. 74 down the road its all to do with how often there calibrated etc
Mk 1 Mark Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 My Cortina is 211 BHP at Track and Road SBD XE on 45 mm Throttle bodies
G.O Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 TOTD 'undereads' its just the rollers they have, we got the same make at college, 68 on them. 74 down the road its all to do with how often there calibrated etc thats real interesting to know - as mine is off to TOTD next week soooo - which one is giving the correct readings then I wonder......
deltamal Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 I'm running a nasp YB, 240 bhp on the dyno, 210 on rolling road, about right I guess, 30 bhp loss on transmission.
sambo Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 I'm running a nasp YB, 240 bhp on the dyno, 210 on rolling road, about right I guess, 30 bhp loss on transmission. If your making 210 bhp @ the wheels mate, that is one stonking engine you have there!!
fairlane500 Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 351 cu/in small block V8. 250 bhp and 350lb/ft torque. Ford's figures so may be a little optimistic
