get pulled over by the police this car is showing up as having no insurance i said really thats fuckign weird ...

anyway much debating and phonecalls later

car impounded i only just got it and dont have the mot certificate so i cant get it out of the impound lot so thats that car gone not an osf dw but i had someome coming to buy it at the weekend for £600 tht i really need

 

i dont have the £200 to pay the fine becaus ei havent been paid on time i also cant find my driving licence

 

so basically im fooked

 

im 19 and now have 9 King points on my licence .... King 9 points

 

to insure a 957cc mk1 fez will cost me £800 and i have 2 years no claims and i simply cant afford it

if they havn't put it on the database all you need do is get a cover note to get the car out and get the points dropped?

no MOT cert? get a copy of the MOT station £10

Had a car impounded cos it wasn't on the database (trade policy) got it back for nowt as soon as i took the docs along to the impund yard

so did you get a cover note at all - if you didnt why didnt you chase it up - sounds like it will all go away if you were legal - and if not then you must have been being a bad boy

 

 

Always make sure you are legal - they will fook you over in a flash

or just no insurance at all.

if you have your cover note saying "this vehicle is insured" i.e. a paper copy of your insurance you get after you pay.

should have gone to the bank n got proof of payment to the insurance company.

i swapped the car on the policy online and was expecting the certifivcate thru this week ... there was no change to the price

 

apparently it dodnt go through and it wa smy responsibility to make sure i was insured

i done my insurance on line and it let me print a cover note off and its proof of insurance if needed till the proper one comes through

i got stopped once for not wearing a seat belt.........then he said it showed it wasn't insured....which i knew i was....got given a producer ,got the paper work out and noticed i wasn't insured because they had actually had wrote the reg out wrong they wrote b878 and not b787 on the insurance paper

 

even the copper at the police station didn't notice it was wrong from producer and insurance paper ........or i would have been done for no insurance has well........or course i got it changed straight away ,so always double check everything!!...............good luck not getting the points

Sorry to say this but lesson learned. Don't trust one way communications like online forms, unless you get a confirmation email immediately. I can add vehicles to our policy by text, but always call and speak to a person.

bad one fella,it sounds tough but you should of checked,on-line insurance is a pisser if/when this happens.i always insure over the phone and pay the extra.at least you aint gotta take your test again tho buddy.i have 9 points as well.It aint the end of the world m8. this aint a rub it in post either i do feel sorry for ya as it is an easy mistake to make
