bigglesmk2 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Missus birthday in couple of week's. Well today she said we could go Alton Tower's for her birthday, but it's been done we go there once every couple of year's and one time was for her birthday. The only other theme park i've been to is American Adventure but that place is no more. Just for a change is there any other theme park better than Alton Tower's i could take her ?
antz Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 alton towers is the best in the country. you could always try drayton manor but its a bit of a dive flamingo land (thats near me) lightwater valley (not very good) thats all i know of
Dr Feelgood Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 all the ones up here are absolute crap, theyre mostly for kids or the rides malfunction and your harnesses open while youre upside down... does it have to be a theme park? you could try something else in all fairness if she says she wants to go there why not take her?
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 I used to love going to Chessington, but apparently that is Pony now. Me and a mate cranked it at Thorpe Park a couple of months ago. It was quality
toad650 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 I work at thorpe and its dead quiet at the mo (but then most parks are reaaly) so no ques in the week and not really bad at the weekend. Fright nights are starting in a couple of weeks so the parks open till 8pm or 10pm and have mazes set up with people scaring the shit out you while you walk round. Thing is thorpes no where as big as alton and doesn't have asmany rides. Kinda depends where you live too n if you fancy a drive. Think you can get cheaper tickets for these parks online too.
BIG G Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 Thorpe park makes alton towers look like a school playground
zetecmk2 Posted September 20, 2008 Report Posted September 20, 2008 my mrs has just got in from a day at thorpe park, no doubt i will hear all about it within the next hour or so!!
bigglesmk2 Posted September 20, 2008 Author Report Posted September 20, 2008 in all fairness if she says she wants to go there why not take her? Coz as i said,it's been done b4 for her birthday. Thorpe park sound's interesting and that one in Ohio It's either gonna be a theme park or Center Parks

I love thorpe park! I work for Waitrose and we've got our fright night thingy next month where they shut the park in the evenin for Waitrose and we've only gotta pay a fiver to get in! What a bargain! Went to Lego land today which was pretty cool but only really a kiddy thing. We went to chessington for my birthday lastmonth and it was pretty pants, the big rides they did have were broken down and ramisis revenge broke down while we were on it! I heard drayton manor was quite good!
hotrodholty Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 i went to alton towers for my birthday last year and stayed the weekend, it was the last weekend it was open, so was dead and they kept the park open late so you copuld ride all the rollercoasters in the dark(trust me it's awsome in the dark) and went to the wwater park on the saturday. alton towers is the best in the country and even better if yoy stay for the weekend
