just walked up my road and was writing everyones car reg down on paper.....he saw me looking before he got to me and he asked if he could write mine down and i said NO

 

then 10 mins later he is walking down the other side and then i relised that my other car was parked futher up the road after my escort and my mates car further down the road.....so i went over to make sure he didnt write any of mine or my mates car

 

sure enough i saw my escort reg on their straight away........so i took every bit of paper he had on the clip board and screwed it up and had a few serious words....he says it was for his hobbie...i know some people are trainspotters (sab6024) etc .but taking people cars reg is taking it a bit far don't you think?.....or do you think i was out of order? i don't think i was has i said he couldn't write it down but he still did...so he lost everything and this is 7 sheets full of reg numbers

i personaly think you done the right thing just cos he wouldnt take a telling BUT last year i had a problem with a few local children using my cars as goal posts so i went out and took the ball next thing i know the police are at my door because i damaged there property (by stabbing the ball) when i took it inside . so if he has the cheek to call the coppers denie every bit of it and call your pal to get a story strait just incase

a bit off topic, but handy info. i had the same thing and let my dog fook the ball up. same thing, police turned up, just told them it was my ball , it is down the kids then to proove it was theres, which is nigh on impossible also, mention that if they are playing footy, they are obstructing a public highway which is an offense

The fact that with a reg no you can get so many make and model details from the web would worry me

 

Just think if you were running a steal parts to order ring, you get some numpty to take note of street name and model with reg no, bingo, they can pinch exact same car and know model, number of door, colour etc without even having to hunt one out.

 

Any if anyone does actually trainspot car regs then they are a fookin fruitloop!!!!!!
