Yep Im certain its a Healy Tickford, 1 of only about 240 made, so its rare, 2.4 litre 4 cylinder twink, Moss box, ash framed, a specalist car, and not for the unskilled or unknowelegable, you can guess it will need the Ash re framing, and probably partial re-skining, I think Jay Leno has one, so they obviously have to be collectable, probably the best thing to do wirh it is to either cantact a GOOD auction house and ask for an opinion, somewhere like Coys, or Mothball it in a safe, dry and dehumidified garage, and wait for an upturn in prices, BUT dont touch it or attempt to restore it, as you will probably make it unsaleable as a partial resto when you find how hard and expensive it is to get right, It is a sought after car, it may be worth also having a punt around the Healey Owners club for advise

I reckon that plate is on another Healey. Look at the front of the one on the truck and look at the differences in photo. Also just checked out my own vehicles on DVLA, when they are SORN it says so under vehicle status. This healey it says is currently taxed acc to DVLA.

Someone has just dropped themselves right in it..........

You can't see the last digit on that car reg number and there were far fewer registrations each year back then than there are now. A very small manufacturer like the Donald Healey motor company may well have registered a number of their cars at once resulting in sequenced reg plates.

the ash frame is complete with only one section needing to be replaced the grey one in the show pic isnt the same reg its 951 not 954 everything is there including trim but as for the panels some are bent and really need sorting we are at the moment looking fot a company in norfolk that will be willing to sort them out but its not going to be cheap and he`s fully aware of this

does any one know of a site that has a price guide for this car as neither of us can find one and have been looking since sunday morn

want to know what its worth fully restored and also what its worth as is

You are correct that it's a Healey Tickford.

They don't go for big money - they should bu they don't! Unless you do the work yourself it'll probably cost more to restore than it'll be worth.

Unless it has some significant history, which my list says it doesn't, it might make 12? 14k? restored.

Unrestored maybe 2, but not much more.

Given the economic climate it might not even make that - the problem is that they are so rare no one know what they are.

Google healeyowners to find our website I'm not allowed to post the URL, and mail me - healeyowners at dsl dot pipex dot com and I can answer any other questions.

We have a stand at the NEC show in November, if you're going come and have a chat.

Whatever you do, don't scrap it, spares are scarce and preferably ignore the suggestion to rod it! (V8s don't fit anyway it's too narrow.

That is gorgeous, even looking like that! Gotta be a proper resto job, maybe mild custom. SOOO wouldn't suit being rodded...

Wonder what sorta power you could get out of that twink...
