I fitted a new log fired AGA type thing in my kitchen this year, heats the water (very hot!) does the central heating and cooking.

Bloody brilliant!

I did have oil for a few years, but as the price went from 13p/litre to 70p/litre there was no way I could afford to run it.

My Living room has no radiators, just another log burner. (gets hot!)

I have never been keen on chopping logs, but also bought a log splitter for on my tractor. I enjoy it so much now I have run out of room for the logs. :D

I reckon I have over 20 tons in my shed.

All renewable energy too, the logs are trees I planted myself.

Got a Wood Burner in the lounge and a shed full of timber from ripping the old extension down. Throws out a silly amount of heat, which is just as well considering the only thing between outside and one of our lounge walls consists of a sheet of 22mm Ply covered in visqueen to keep the rain out...
