antz Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 ok admitdly working inside on here cleaning up some new sturts and other bits for my mk1 i have aquired today!! listening to some 90's rave and kisstory,..as you do not too loud but i have some mega bass system so bass-ey parents are out, the moody bag neighbour comes knocking on my door says neighbour- 'i am telling you to turn the music down , it is vibrating my house!!' me-' really? shame its only on 20 out of 100 on volume' neighbour- 'wait till i tell your parents' me-' wait a minute, go inside and i will turn it a notch' neighbour-'that'll be better, thank you' well i said turn it a notch, didnt say down ohh im evil, just turned it down now parents are in they dont mind lol at least we listen to music unlike them... wernt even loud wait till the weekend, when they hear the angle grinder make love to my car anyone else got gitty neighbours, i feel for you now mate, C'mon. You WERE listening to 90's rave. I would have come round and ripped the fooking plug off your stereo. To be completely honest I have to agree with Sambo. I wouldnt be ahppy if someone next door was listening to music with the bass turned up to eb greeted by a lad who says 'its only on 20 out of 100' then turns it up

NHR115 Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 Our next door neighbours are around the same age as Neil & I, the guy is into his cars (like us) so we have no problems. We rarely hear them due to the layout of our houses which is fab.

Anyway, i remember when Wayne Wigger came down to set up my carbs on my N/A cossie!! it took ages and ages and we kept blasting up the road to test it etc. My garage is right next to thier house!!! They must have been well pissed off!! I mentioned this to Wayne and he just said.... "if they come art an' moan, they'll get a piece of sarrrf London up there arses" or something similar anyway! If my neighbours were cool, i would have bought them a bottle of wine to apologise or something but fook 'em!

If we are working on the cars she comes out for a chat and would like to help (bless her) but she's a million yrs old and bent double.
RS2kSX Posted January 22, 2009 Report Posted January 22, 2009 i got a garage inspection today as some good for nothing has complained about me working from my garage, i got one with building material in, one with my car parts in and one with my car, ripped some racking out to get a second car in and borrowed a motorbike so now they can't do anything about me storing stuff, now the're moaning about me running a genny for lights in the evening...(genny is in my van and closed so it's quite)...Wanxxxs
Twinkle Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 when i was with the ex i only had the drive and a shed to work on the cars and one of the neighbours complained to the council noise police and also reported me to the planning department that i was running a business. she only did it because she wanted to buy some of my land and also wanted me to chop a tree down and i wouldnt. i explained this to the nice lady from the noise dept and also to the planning officer who came round and asked if she had complained about the noise from my other neighbour who has a lathe etc in his shed which is used at all hours and also the building site with the petrol cement mixer which was on from 8 in the morning and they hadnt had anything about it. they both said not to worry and the noise lady even said "how the f@ck can you restore a classic car quietly!!"
garyv6100e Posted January 23, 2009 Report Posted January 23, 2009 I must be lucky i live in a small close and none of the neighbours complain about my car . In the summer when i leave out early on a sunday to go to a show and fire up the hardly silenced V6 at 7.30 they are fine as long as i do not rev the pants of it like wise when returning home at 11pm after a mid week meet , makes me realise what good neighbours they are
