Admin Vista Posted March 22, 2009 Admin Report Posted March 22, 2009 RIP for her and us too, perhaps the newspapers and magazines can drop it now I read that Max Clifford said we hope that the public and media will leave the family and friends to grieve in peace. Bit hypocritical eh?
mk1mexico Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Its a shame for the kids but to be perfectly honest i am sick to the back teeth of it occupying half my daily paper.
livewire7116 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Said she came home from hospital to spend quality time with family, complete bull all she wanted to do was make money out of it for her kids, which in a way im sure we would all want to make sure our kids were going to be cared for, but i never heard of her doing anything for cancer research, wendy richards passed away with lot less fuss and publicity now theres a doris who gets my sympathy
stevepeanut Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 its sad she's died, but before she got ill, she hadnt really done anything apart from be a gobshite on crap reality shows. Gordon Brown even mentioned her death, which aint right in my book, plenty more people have died of the same thing and never get mentioned.
Lukey Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 she should of saved for her bloody kids way before she realised it was too late in my opinion! very sad but it took cancer for her to realise she had'nt even thought about thier future!
Dr Feelgood Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 i feel sorry for her kids but im glad that it wont be all over the papers/internet/magazines now
jimbo Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 its sad she's died, but before she got ill, she hadnt really done anything apart from be a gobshite on crap reality shows. Here Here!!! Just saw the priest, who married Jade and whatever his name, on C4 news. He was sayi9ng that comparisons to Princess Di weren't OTT, and that she had been saintly WTF did she ever do that was saintly, or in the style of Diana's campaigning and awareness raising? She just looked out for her own cause, and only passively raised awareness about cervical cancer, when it was killing her. Plenty of other nameless (and I should think more deserving folks are suffering in the same way right now) and where's teh recognition for them?? The sooner this nation frees itself of creating and obsessing about undeserving "celebrities" the sooner we can get back to celebrating real heroes... Its a shame for the kids but to be perfectly honest i am sick to the back teeth of it occupying half my daily paper. You'd probably do well to change your choice of paper
Fiesta Steve Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 Before she went, did she say anything about a tin of paint for me ??
Copey Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 i feel sorry for her kids but im glad that it wont be all over the papers/internet/magazines now agreed, sick to death of her!!!
Mr Sam Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 tis all very sad, but agreed i dont see why the whole world has to know about it all the best to her kids in coming years and hope the papers leave them alone!
mk2_escort_chick Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 I wouldn't wanna wish death upon anyone and its not nice watching someone battle cancer, but... it got to the stage where many of us were thinking hurry up! Sounds harsh, but she was just making money for herself (and family). She put nothing back into awareness, cures or anything. Hopefully she'll be forgotten in a week
sambo Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 This whole thing got on my tits. Everyone hated the mouthy cow before, and then all of a sudden she is a national treasure cos she is dying? WTF.??? Why is this so sad, when hospitals are full of decent people in similar situations.
Admin Vista Posted March 23, 2009 Admin Report Posted March 23, 2009 Why is this so sad, when hospitals are full of decent people in similar situations. It's sad that two young children have lost an equally young mother to a very unpleasant disease...................no more sad than any other similar case though.

Totally agree Jeff Harris's daughter is only 28 and is suffering also and because they are a loving caring family and not in the public eye, she isn't able to make millions on the back of her illness.

Bit hypocritical eh? Things change. She's dead FFS. How much more of a change do you want? She made her money, for her boys, the only way she could. There are plenty of people out there that have made no provision for their kids, and get caught out by terrible illnesses, and have no means of leaving any money when they have gone, so you can't fault her on that. RIP Jade.

RIP Jade. Actually (FFS) what I was faulting was the statement by Max Clifford. It implied in some way that the public and media were hounding her when in fact the reverse was true.
FredTransit Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 Ah fair enough, I think I misread your post. It is still relevant that there has been a change though. Jade wanted the publicity when she was alive, and the family want some privacy immediately after her death. I think that's reasonable.

I think that's reasonable. how is it? they cant expect all sorts of media attention to get all the money they can while she was alive and then expect it all to stop when she is dead people are wanting to know whats going on (god knows why) and its their own fault for generating all the interest in the first place!! they shoulda thought about it before they milked it for every penny they could!!!
FredTransit Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 That's a bit harsh isn't it? I don't think I would have wanted to deal with that lot after my mother died, whether or not they had been there when she was alive.

I don't think I would have wanted to deal with that lot after my mother died, whether or not they had been there when she was alive. I don't think anyone would, the point is that it (the media and public attention) was self inflicted. The phrase about not having your cake and eating it springs to mind.
