FredTransit Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 I do get what you mean, but as I said, things change. This exact argument could have been levelled at princess Diana (no, I do not agree with the comparison somebody made).
5hane Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 This exact argument could have been levelled at princess Diana . how? she never milked her death?!? she didnt know she would die??? Princess Diana is a complete diffrent thing all together. yes it got alot of media attention, but she deserves it more than Jade (no offence to Jade, just what did she do?) i dont know how anyone could even concider it being anything like Princess Diana
tom28 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 thank god, im sick of hearing about it now, shouldnt be shown all over the papers like it was anyway.

A bit extreme and as I said I don't agree with it. My point was that in her life Princess Diana did seek attention from the press, then wanted them to go away when she didn't want it. Press attention was what Princess Diana and Jade Goody had in common.
Trevmk3 Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 i feel sorry for the kids but hopefully my paper tomorrow morning wont have another 26 yes that isnt a miss-print 26 pages of the life of Jade Goody .
mk3cokebottle Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 reading through this post there are lots of mixed veiws , in my opinion i feel sorry for the kids and the family involved when my mum fell ill with bowel cancer she scraped through it by the skin of her teeth , unless you have dealt with a big illness in the family and watched someone very close to you deteriote over a matter of weeks its very hard for people to understand ............ and also as for her staying in the public eye fair play to her as i have always been taught and will always respect is charity starts at home she has whether it be right or wrong used what she had left of her career as a loud mouthed londener to secure a future for her family . now being very hypocritical of myself i can also understand why people are annoyed with all the publicity as we have many people in this world that do far more and get very little thanks we have lost very many service man through different wars in the past that get a poppy once a year if the person in the shop buying a packet of fags is good enough to put his change in the pot and wear one on his chest .... and people who put there lifes on the line for others such as fireman and such which are just looked at as normal people anywhoo rant done lol lol
Fishtailparka Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 I can't say that I liked the girl, or at least what bit of her I knew, but I wouldn't wish her any harm all the same. It is sad that she has died at such a young age. I find comments that say glad she is dead I'm fed up of her now quite shocking. I find most of this thread heartless and shocking tbh. Shame on a lot of you. You should never be glad such a young person has died a pretty horrible death, especially if it is so you don't have to read about her in your paper. If that is what is in your paper, as said earlier, your choice of reading matter isn't much good. No doubt the same papers were the ones full of her racist debate in the Big Brother house. May she rest in peace.
Smudger105e Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 I don't think anyone wished Jade dead, but my paper today has eleven pages about her in it. People were just saying enough is enough. She was no saint, no more then anyone else. She was not very well educated (does Saddam Hussein play cricket?), and was involved in racist rows on her second BB excursion. I did not wish her dead, and sympathise with those close to her, it is always difficult when someone so young dies. But maybe we can get back to our own lives, and let her and her family be. Jack Tweedy seems to be a rather nasty piece of work too, been done twice for beating people up, once with a golf club! Jade should have given him the heave-ho if she was so angelic. Is he even the kids' father?
Admin Vista Posted March 24, 2009 Admin Report Posted March 24, 2009 Is he even the kids' father? I don't think so. How long before the jokes start do you reckon? Here's one I came across as a starter for 10: I'm not worried she hasn't text me back I'm not worried about Jezza's dog I'm not worried I've only got 96 friends And I know what you're thinking, but I'm not worried about my dad dying of smoking No, I'm just worried that on April Fool's Day, Jade will be back on the front page of The Sun with the headline: "Gotcha!"
mk2_escort_chick Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 Like I said earlier I would never wish death upon anyone. But...you just couldn't/can't seem to get away from her. She's splashed all over the tabloids, magazines etc. It's all a bit too much. I understand that she was making some money for her childrens future, but what did she ever put back into fighting for awareness, cures or anything? NOTHING!!! Cancer is a cruel disease and I've watched my mother battle it. It's not pleasant!! Especially when you watch them lose their hair due to chemotherapy and have a number of grueling radiotherapy sessions. I do my little bit and buy pins etc of which the money goes to cancer research. If I can do that, just a regular person -why couldn't she (earning stupid amounts of money for what I don't know) give something back?
S2 Dee Posted March 24, 2009 Report Posted March 24, 2009 RIP to her. I had no feelings for her one way or the other, she was just another person who was famous for being famous, who never did anything of real worth. I feel for her family, as I would for any family. Though as for making money for the kids what happened to the reported £8M she had previously made? It would have been good if she left her mark with a charitable foundation or the like, I am firmly with MkII escort chick on this point. Glad the media coverage will soon be over, it was all too much.
shakey n his fezz Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Before she went, did she say anything about a tin of paint for me ?? your going forgoing the same coulour as her kitchen i heard she did say something about shes got a tin spare
Admin Vista Posted April 7, 2009 Admin Report Posted April 7, 2009 And now parky gets in on the action. Well said Parky for stating what most of us are thinking but haven't said for fear of being shot down by the PC brigade. Looking at the comments it seems 99.9% of people agree with Parkinson. http://uk.tv.yahoo.com/blog/article/138886/page-2/
D4N Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 So it's not over yet Ohhhh its far from over, On radio 1 yesterday they were on about making a movie about her life, as she has had 'such an amazing life'
badchild Posted April 7, 2009 Report Posted April 7, 2009 Well said Parky fair play! It's sad for the kids but she was a big mouthed dick when she was living why should peoples opinions change when she passes away? Just because she has an illness that thousand of good decent people are dying from? Wheres there spread in the papers? The papers were the first to slate her now they keep banging on about how lovely and caring she was, the round ones! Ive actually stopped buying papers so i dont have to skip halfway through it because shes in it
