Normally i would say, make a nice balance between the two, but now i think pick one and plough everything you got into it. My view would be to get the car strong and sound or even restored and looking how you want it, then when you got the cash, upgrade the power.

Well i thought your body looked just fine baby :wink:

Sorry could'nt resist it :wink::wink:

No i'll stop now, starting to sound like a perv,

if the body work looks ok from 5 feet away i'd do engine work! :)

I'd try to do both :D

If it's sound but not mint, I'd (I'm gonna) flat bubbles,

pull out dents, etc.

Then I'd do some choice mods to the engine, to

get the most bang for buck 8)

a 1600 sport engine with about 84 ish hp instead of the standard 57hp 1300 would probly be the easiest and cheapest bang. Cost of more bang would increase more than proportionally with buchs

bodywork because you get more looks when your car looks good..

farie enough a minted engine is fun but its also fun just to get the looks.

bodywork for me and rack up the ponies as time goes by and funds allow :D

For me its engine anyday, dont get me wrong I like my cars to look smart but

have you ever noticed at shows and meets that its always the slightly ratty looking sleepers, with grubby engine bays that tend get the most interest and are generally the faster motors?

Depending on what u do..

You'll spend a helluva lot on gettin say a pinto head modified.

But, if u buy a scrap injection Sierra, the ports are already

bigger than a carb head.

You've also got the later 205 block ready for overboring later on

Got to be bodywork, after all thats what i do!!

But i think a nice looking motor even if its slow can still turn heads at a cruise, just looks silly when you try takin anything on!

suppose it depends what you mean by body work,if you have a good solid shell but the paint it not so good, then i would go engine

BUT if your shell is a bit fooked and needs tidying i would start there first

id much rather have something that looks good rather than goes well.

theres too many heaps on the road with big engines.

its all about posing :-)

who will appreciate your work if they only see you for half a second as you zoom off

i can never decide... on day i wil get up in the morning and devote the day too paint prep and body work. somedays i will start King around with the running gear ready for the V8...?

As its a propper rs i would get the bodywork done as thats how it will hold its money but my evil altered ego says GET IT TUNED UP!!!!!!!
