Jeff HPE Motorsport Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Here are some pictures of a MK2 Capri found & released from a garage in South Croydon after 23 years of being shut up! My mate & his son were repairing the roof on the Garage & said to the owner if theres anything inside the Garage that needs to be taken out before we pull off the old tiles etc then it should be done before we start ! After taking out countless boxes papers & junk that has been stored in there for years it exposed this 1974 Capri1600 pinto. Once purchased for £200 & towed back to addiscombe by I do believe Rodney! I went out to there house & within 30 minutes after putting new fuel in the carb & tank & cleaning the points it started up & purred bless it! Jeff Harris..
mk1super Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 I maybe the only person to say this but i love the paint Now all it needs is a rip snorting pinto, and what a sleeper it would be Nice one Mr H
Toby Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 Great find £200 result!! Not sure about the wall paper effect though

Retro-gone. Posted May 4, 2009 Report Posted May 4, 2009 my mate bought an old house a few years back and in the garage was a sierra covered in dust, turned out it was stolen 13 years peviously and put in the garage and never recovered!
Jeff HPE Motorsport Posted May 5, 2009 Author Report Posted May 5, 2009 I don`t like the paint myself but someone liked it when it was done! Its the net curtain paint job a hippy thing I think! There are a few bits that need attention to the bodywork but all in all its in very good condition. Once I got it going & in true Harris style I had to drive it down the road but don`t tell anybody in da force! oh I just did it was a private road The brakes need attention but on the second attempt the clutch released so that was good! Danny who bought it doesn`t want to sell it & has some really great plans for it! I don`t remember the Capri Andy had! Oh well I will keep you up to date on the progress.. Jeff Harris..
