now editied to use words you can understand.

I'll write to the Eagles to ask them to change their song to "Life in the 3rd lane"

I understand what you meant, as I'm sure did everyone else.

I did 4,300 miles last month, and the amount of people I see in the 'medium' lane and not using the 'truck' lane when it's empty is unreal.

Then you have those with range rovers in the 'fast' lane.

lol, it's just a thing I have to correct when I see these terms being used. :)

its strange as i was always taught it was a driving lane and overtaking lane 1 and over taking lane 2 but i know the correct way is lane 1...2....3 but how many actually use it most say fast lane slow lane middle lane

Anyone remember the magazine fast lane? The stick they got for that name went on and on......I prefer to think of the lanes as fast, faster, fastest...... (unless someone happens to be broken down in the middle of one of course!)

Just heard from a partners friend and said the same thing happened in the summer at Hampton Court when a car left the road and crashed near the station

The Met police and Surrey whose border it was on couldnt decide who to send

I am now writing to the papers

Once again moved a stranded motorist from centre lane of the A3 ,lone female trying to push her car across three lanes of rush hour traffic

I blocked two lanes and got her to safety .This time waiting for know one

.

Police did arrive shortly after but hadnt a clue what to do . Just looked blank .Promptly pushed the car even further of the road straight into the ditch !

Strangely though, if you were breaking some minor motoring law, I am sure there would be no arguments about who books you, it would be whoever saw you!

I hope the papers listen, cos I think this is getting silly now.
