They have been bringing them out for years now, But to be honest im bored with the waffle and out next week speaches, dont hold your breath ...the only solution is to get the fibreglass ones, at least they are as good as the word and can be produced

Theres very little difference between 2dr and 4dr mk1 wings, and I can't imagine that ford would commision another panel press for van/estate wings when one would do.

Mk1 wings are (or at least, were) available from expressed panels/classic components in Keighley. Thats where I got mine from, mind, it was 3years ago and they were bloody dear then.

You asked about front panels, they are available too. BeaversAutoPanels in Barnsley seem to stock them, let me know if you need owt collecting from beavers as they are 15mins down the road from me.

And as far as bonnets go, Im looking for one too, I think its just a case of keeping you eyes open.

Thanks for the infos guys.

I´m going from a MKII front to MKI - i might as well - the front is knackered and the wings are no better.

Fibreglass front end is not an option as the german MOT guys won´t allow them as they´re not original......

I´ve still got plenty of time so i´ll see what turns up in the next couple of months - we´ll be over for Cf at the pod so should be alright. Thanks for your offer of help MK14dr, much appreciated.

Saloon models maybe but Mk2 estate and van wings ARE different to mk2 2 and 4 door wings as while the front of the car is mk2 escort, the rear is mk1

And re the new mk1 RS wings, make no mistake, they're coming and I understand that standard ones will be along behind them.

being made by Vautop in China

A quote from the man that has funded and organised it:

the mexico wings will be here in march/april and std ones shortly after for those who want either std or bubble arched cars, and wont cut the more expensive mexico ones, doors for 2 door mk2 and rear quarter panels are next in line although in what order i know not yet

And some pics of the articles in question to prove it's not all B.S.

i own a mk2 estate, and i can tell you that the suege line is the same as a mk1 wing and mine have a sort of mexico arch on them. definatly COMPLETELY different to a normal mk2 wing. And i believe they are like rockinghorse shit to find

Yep, the mk2 Van and Estate share the same wings.

Dont know how the Mk1 front end would fair (Est/Van/saloon etc), the fellas above have nailed it I think.

Roy Nunn has a large selection of NOS Mk1 & 2 I believe.
