Stolen Mk1 Escort

My Housemate's Mk1 Escort was stolen last night

 

Someone stole my car overnight. Yes, I'm now passed the phase of shouting expletives.She was taken from Romsey so I'm asking people if they could keep their eyes open locally.

 

She's fairly obvious, very Purple, Mk1, square lights, RS2000 Wheels (added since photo).

 

 

It's a pretty obvious car, as you can see from the photo .

I know that car, it runs a 2 litre pinto, capper struts

and was built a few years ago by a guy local to me.

I think it was based on a 1300xl, not 100% tho.

 

Fookin gutted that it was robbed, the shell was mint

 

Tim knows more about it, I think he met the guy that built it

It's got a 2.1 Pinto & 5 speed box fitted, I don't know any of the numbers however (other than the reg which is visible in that photo). The engine is also quite distinctive - it's painted the same shade of purple as the shell. There's no carpets, as they were removed due to a leak around the windscreen. It's also got a couple of patches of primer on the bootlid and NSR door.

There is one possible solution, we all stop buying used parts, especially from eBay. Kill the market and there's nothing to nick for.
