Mick The Cabbie Posted March 11, 2010 Report Posted March 11, 2010 Spotted this today. The first time I saw it was when it nearly jackknifed, as the traffic ahead suddenly stopped! BOTH FRONT & REAR NUMBER PLATES WERE WELL HIDDEN WITH MASKING TAPE!! Looks quite dusty/dirty, like it's been in storage for a long time. Had a V8 badge on the bootlid & twin tailpipes. Rags protecting the body from being damaged by the straps, so is most likely all inocent. Made me wonder why the plates were hidden though??? Can anyone think of any good reasons why you would do that?????????????

Wasn't even sure wether to post it up. I did wonder tho at the time, if the plods had spotted it would they ave bothered pulling it over to investigate

Toby Posted March 12, 2010 Report Posted March 12, 2010 I can see what Ian's saying though. By just going round the car with one long strap if it moves at all it will ALL go loose. With 4 seperate straps at least if one's not right 3 are still in control.

JAY PS Posted March 13, 2010 Report Posted March 13, 2010 One of the lads at Oakcroft Garage had that on ebay (tony has the red MK2 that was at Ford Fair ) Was going to see it but made way too much money for me Was reportly in the mags a few year back ,dont remember it thou Glad to see an ebayer that has actually followed through Yes it was a v8 !
