Real shame ,such an iconic car thats had loads of time and money thown at it ,just proves you cant trust anyone
NeilT Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 hope it gets found thieving little low lifes
SebringRS Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Was there all weekend. And heard all the bad news Sunday morning The bloke that got his car keyed, he only just had the car painted and was in tears. Held a collection for him Sunday. As for the blower, I really don't know how someone, who is probably into the racing aswell, could be so small minded as to go and steal it straight off the car. Comiserations to all vehicles and owners for both of these incidents. Will keep you updated if anyone finds / put anything on the Mopar Muscle Assoc.
over_head_cam Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Dirty thieving scumbags. How the fook can you do something like that? Makes me so mad Gotta feel for the people on the rough end of the stick
Mick The Cabbie Posted August 2, 2010 Report Posted August 2, 2010 Bloody hell, I heard the commentator anounce that a blower had been stolen but didn't realize it was off Henry Hi-rise. I thought it'd been picked up off the floor and taken. So did the thieving pikeys actually un-bolt from the car??????? I didn't know about the paint damage. Bloody W@nkers. Why would a supposed car enthusiast go to a show and do that??
JAY PS Posted August 2, 2010 Author Report Posted August 2, 2010 It was off the car but still ,you dont expect that
BIG G Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 this sort of thing go's on more than you think as theres mass crowds and everything a thief needs in one place. At the rsoc national day donnington a few years back someone had a fake livery AA truck and took two saphires out of the public car park. So be aware.

So be aware. And my S2 R S Turbo
lotusless Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 you just would not think it could happen would you? you sort of let your guard down at car shows/meets but it shows you can never trust anyone
Mrs O/H/C Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 FFS !!!!!!!! Why would someone key up somebodys pride and joy And as for stealing the blower you cant be right in the f**king head to do such a thing
JP. Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 As I understand the blower was fooked and in need of at least a rotor repair. There are only a few specialiced companies in the Uk who are capable to repair them so it shouldn't be a problem to find the thief unless he keeps it as an ornament.
GJUK Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 What are these worth? I mean from the post ( and i know nothign about these at all!) they must be a few thousand, or was this a super dooper one which is worth much much more?
Jiffer Posted August 3, 2010 Report Posted August 3, 2010 nothing gets on my t1ts more then thieving scumbags. espicaly when people work had to get what they have. I had my mk1 keyed at santa pod a while back and now I'm uneasy with leaving it.
SebringRS Posted August 4, 2010 Report Posted August 4, 2010 Little update i just found out...... One of the organisers of the Mopar Nats had a phone call today from an anonymous caller saying "the blower is under a sign at the top of Airfield Road near the pod" Caller witheld there number, so police were called to check it out Still not found, so it was just someone tryin to wind things up. Still gotta be pretty twisted to nick it then go round calling people
Mr Sam Posted August 6, 2010 Report Posted August 6, 2010 shocking!!! anyone that doesnt know it heres the car at CF
mk2cortinadan Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 thievin scum....be careful guys thefts from shows have been increasing this year never leave your car unlocked even on your stand
FredTransit Posted August 8, 2010 Report Posted August 8, 2010 It shouldn't be that way though! OSF security service anybody?
gjh Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Thieving scum!! Surely you would of thought your car would be safe at a car show where there are thousands of people who appreciate cars and respect them and there owners, clearly not any more.
evilzee28 Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 the blower is worth in the region of £3K, the only damage being to the rotor tips, which is relatively easy to repair. If the blower is found then it's easily identifiable as there are some "repairs" that are unique to it
willmk2 Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 I absolutely hate the fact that you can't even leave your own pride and joy at a car show or meet these days without worrying about security. It just shouldn't be that way!
dave waudby Posted August 12, 2010 Report Posted August 12, 2010 scum bags unfortuanatly the worlds full of them now
