I believe I put this topic up before but I thought I'd give it another go as I would like to see what you good folks think of this Ford that never was... It was thought up, primarily, by Roger Clark so it was most certainly intended to be a bit of a tool on the track and on the street... The engine options were either going to be the Essex 3-litre unit or the delicate 16v BDA unit... I really do not know what killed it off fully (unreliability did not help matters!) but you can be sure that this car would've been a complete corker...

I always thought that that was quite a pretty car, surprises me that no one has thought of building a replica, like they have with the GT40, perhaps with a Zetec or Duratec, maybe turbo'd? With a bit of development I would have thought it could be competitive with the likes of the darrian/davrian in rallies etc, maybe rallycross or a good clubman racer....

I think it is crazy a replica has never been attempted... Especially when 1 or 2 prototypes are still out there ready for measuring up...

Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of a Ferrari Daytona?! Still, can't be a bad thing in anyone's book! lol. Lovely and as stated, damn shame they never put into production.

Am I the only person here that thinks thats just pug ugly? If it were a kit car, i'd put it in the same catagory as this

Which car are you talking about? Neither are anywhere close to that monstrosity you posted up. If you mean the GT70, I think you need your eyes tested!

The GT70 was designed for a purpose, whereas the example you quote looks like it was clearly designed by a blind man, granted the GT70 hasn't got the best rear 3/4 view in the world, but I don't think that anyone would call the RS200 beautiful.....at the end of the day beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
