PIG Posted January 17, 2011 Report Posted January 17, 2011 wanted a mk2 rs1800 since i was very young but could never afford one tbh.got one recently and was fantastic tbh but after driving cars with more hp etc it was a let down in performance.but still everything i thought it would be (i know what i mean lol)

I never remember them being on the road en mass or seeing them rallying etc but I like the way they look and drive. Bought a mk2 when i was 17, sold that since but have a mk1 and mk2 now. Would like an anglia at some point, maybe later this year if I can find a good one.
harlanstoys Posted January 18, 2011 Report Posted January 18, 2011 im only 18 but so far ive been lucky enough to get what i wanted, for years i wanted a granada, absoluteley no idea why, just thought they were a propper cool looking car, anyway when i was lookin at cars i see a ghia saloon mk2 granada and thought it was propper smart so bought that pic of it then when i got offered this, i had to have it, i really never ever thought a sport estate would come my way, i swapped the ghia for this if i was to get another osf it would be a mk1 or mk2 granada limo or mk1 saloon or coupe

Had 2 Mk2 escorts with the usual mods added on but couldn't afford a proper RS2000. Finally got one when I was older and now I'm going to fit an X-Pack kit to it and other wee odds and ends. Never likely to part with it.

I've now got one Really, I'd better go and check my lock up ! My 1st car was a 1600E , but at school a couple of the teachers had new mk1 mex's , a white with red stripes and a beautiful plain black one,mmmmm. I have had a couple of them since. I have owned a couple of mk1 tina's ,one with a pinto and one with a 3.1 v6 but they were both 4 doors, so I still to this day want a 2 door mk1 tina which was what I was looking for when I bought mine back in 88' . And ultimately a mk1 lotus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! puddy

Now if I sold the mk2 Cortina i'd only want to replace it with a 2 door mk1 Cortina, or a mk2 Consul/Zodiac/Zephyr. Will always dream about having a 1966 / 1967 Mustang fastback though.
