I personally used 185/60's back in the day, but I prefer the look

 

of 175/50's now :thumbsup:

I have enjoyed reading this as i only got into old fords about 10 years ago, and its good to see where the look and styles of the cars have come from.

Traditional look comes from Dagenham Mark lol, build em how you like em, go for ya own look, someones opinion is just an opinion, the people who slag off other peoples styles are the ones with no creativity in their little heads :thumbsup:

I know joe but i love a reading what people reply with, i know how i want my car to look and thats all that is important. This is a good thread as i not been around old fords for long and the history is interesting.

Nip round to my Dad's Mark, he's got mags going back to the 70s lol, clean simple looks never go out of fashion, that's why the south London look always has and always will look cool, its how my 100e was gonna be, had some banded steels but ended up buying my billet rims about 12 years ago when I was fasinated with what Chip Foose and Boyd Coddington were building :thumbsup:

Back in the day I had what ever I could get,

 

standard 13's

banded 13x8 lotus steels running 205 x 13 x some profile I cant remember

7x13's running 50 profiles

dabbled in the 15" selection

But still coming back to the 13's on the 175/50's
