I like many others who have already posted thought this was a joke at first.I think it was because Banana man seems like a right laugh who often posts light hearted replies to posts on here. Now i know this is real i am gutted for you mate. How the police can ignore this sort of crime is beyond me.

Couldn't believe this when I read it at first. So glad it's been found mate. Hope you get the enthusiasm back.

It must make you feel sick to the stomach.

Told you on the phone Mr Nana..dont let them win by losing heart with the car. Its gorgeous and through your love for it it was fitted with a tracking device which ultimately saved the car from never being seen again.

You have OSFDC 2012 and all the shows coming up and im sure it will be like sticking your finger up at the scumbags if your having the enjoyment from it !!!!

Couldn't have put it better myself!

YOU CAN'T LET THEM WIN!!

Glad you got the car back, put her away for a few weeks and then go back and sort her out. It's sickening when this happens, but getting the car back to how she was in the way to go.

Your bound to feel shit after the unknown you have been through today :( give it a few days and then go and appraise the car properly.

But do count yourself very lucky, 99% of people never get to see their classics once they have been stolen.

I garuantee the landowner knew the score, I used to rent a unit on a farm and someone in another unit there was at it big time, to the point of parking stolen vehicles all over the place, including others parking spaces! He then used to watch to see if plod turned up before stripping them! Im sure the farmer was on a backhander as there would be high end cars randomly scattered in fields etc.

Im not ashamed to say that I grassed up this mary several times and the old bill did nothing, it wasnt until a group of us reported he's activities at the same time that they actually turned up in force and removed him and dozens of cars 8)

Anyway heads up bananaman and get the ole girl sorted

John, don't let the b@st@rds grind you down mate ..... get the lock up/storage sorted and get back into it :thumbsup::thumbsup: I would push for fingerprinting though and I would put up posters in that area "Did you see this car being towed on 9th January between the hours of X and X because it was being stolen - please contact XXXXX police station and quote crime number XXXXX if you saw anything"

Don't give up on her. I had a new truck of mine stolen once. I had put empty bags of chipped bark on the back in the evening as I was doing some work home. Following morning truck was gone. I got in my car and followed the bags that had flown off like a paperchase !! It took me to a well known pikey site. Told the old bill and they did f*ck all. Got a phone call 3 months later to say they had found the remnants of my truck in the field next to said picky site. One week off work, loss of 3 grand of tools and a 22k truck that I only got 12k from insurance company. It knocked me for six but you have to get on and don't let the thieving scum beat you. I wish you every bit of luck and hope to see the car at a show soon.

criky thanks for all the replies chaps.ive just got back ive put the car some where else for now, it was found in a field in a well open barn covered in mud ,in featherbed lane near addington with a blue sheet covering it.i dont think i would of seen it again,if it didnt have a tracker on it,still not the point thieving gits, anyway the drivers seat had been unbolted and slung in the back the dash part where the ash tray is ,looks like its been smashed off ,raher than unscrewed.steering lock,s been polled off,and drivers door lock has had a screwdriver in it and been forced turned.there was a towing frame beside the car,so i thats how they got it there, very strange to me,i wondered why they didnt drive it,mind you there was only fumes in the tank.i asked the bill about fingerprints ,didnt want to no.they gave me a crime number for insurance purposes, thats about it really.but i fix it meself. kind of lost interest in it for now

keep your chin up fella, get stuck in and enjoy again..

it's a shame you can't

Hope you get any damage done to the car sorted.

Let me know if you need any interior bits as I've got a few kick panels etc if they've damaged them.

All the best :-/
