sambo Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Just started mine.... got a new engine to go in but will be re-furbishing the engine bay with new strut tops so it looks absolutley mint! just got to save up enough cash to get it done and then a new rad, then new ignition system, then new rev limiter, then a new weld on strut-brace........etc it goes bloody on and on and i am POOR!!!. It's gonna be ages till i get the new lump up and running but as long as it is by the summer i will be chuffed!. I cant decide to do the engine bay gloss black or go satin black for when the car is Alan Manned in the future??????

steve dray Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Come on you lot! I've finished mine!!! Haven't done much though! Took all this off; Chucked the gearbox and fitted this one (T5) Took the engine out, fitted new sump, cossie flywheel and clutch Fitted some spangly new quaife group 1 halfshafts And thats about it, apart from a filter king, modified breather system (to stop it chucking oil out of the catch tank) and a Hurst pro race quick shifter all the way from the USA, took 6 weeks to arrive!!. Now it's sat in the garage waiting for some action !!!

Still got the new engine to fit and has been lowered 2" all round since I took the pics below, but this is what she is like now...
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 I should really start sorting my little list! Tomorrow I want to go out and pick up a new O/S TCA and anti roll bar bushes for the Capri. Also hope to fit them. So the Capri will be well again. So then I have to look at the Anglia. I need to refurb my Lotus steels, rebuild my new engine, sort out the bloody brakes (or lack of), fit a nice alarm, custom stealth under cover stereo to do, make an exhaust system, buy a nice carpet set and buy and fit a Mountney steering wheel & boss. And all in time for the London to Brighton cruise I hope!!!! Still, it would be a boring life without our beloved Ford's wouldn't it???
