Admin Mk2Jo Posted February 1, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 1, 2007 So, for those of you who have been off the road since the end of last year ..... how are those winter projects coming along?? Not yet started? Going well? Already finished?
quickrack Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Its to cold and i have no money usual excuses
johnny_h Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Hell no not finished! Got the engine bay to sort. New struts to fit and a gearbox to rebuild!
Daggle Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Been out in the garage today, I stripped out the radiator, exhast manifold and the inlet manifold, (how tricky is it to get the bolt in the middle of it, that is the one under the manifold), basically waiting for my bro to turn up with the engine hoist. Going off to see a guy from a trimming company at half 5, he is going to upholster the rear seat in plain black vinyl from the two tone blue. So all that is left to do before the summer is 1. Remove engine, get sheared bolt out and replace it. 2. Fit world cup xmember and steering rack 3. Fit Cobra Classic cup seats 4. Possibly get rear disc conversion sorted if time.... Oh it sounds all so simple.
mk1mexico Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Got my escort zetec conversion running yesterday When i finish work tonite i have to pick up a shiny new alloy bottom hose, fusebox cover and gearlever surround then its finito Then iv got a quickrack and LSD to fit in good time
Admin Vista Posted February 1, 2007 Admin Report Posted February 1, 2007 I've only just started mine as I was waiting for the South West meet to be out the way. Had a lucky find that drastically reduces my costs and workload though, check it out: - http://www.oldskoolford.co.uk/phpBB2/vi ... highlight=
RFChris Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Well, I haven't started mine. 60ftman Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Out in the garage at the weekend to re-torque the heads. Fired it up - woke the neighbours (for about 4-miles around) - HOORAY!!!!! Found the coolant was getting pressurised - BOOOOO!!! One of the perils of running copper head gaskets I guess. Never mind. We'll whizz the heads of and chuck some silicone around the water and oil ways. It'll soon be the race season again!!
