Been around for years ......I roof chopped a 2 door MK2 Escort about 25 years ago as 1 had never been done and my mate used it as a daily for a few years ......Good ol days

I remember the Mk2 very well as the I'm sure my old mate Chris from Wrecclesham, Farnham had it for a while. At the time we were roof chopping his Mk1 Granada 'Beetlecrusher' to take on the run to the sun. I was screaming about at the time in a roof chopped 1600e

IIRC Chris had a mate up Oxford way with a chopped Volvo 245 with a V8 in it (Worked at TVR I think)

That was Nick and that was actually what is known as a bubble oxford (alot rarer than an a55) which was again hacked off by me and my mate John , Nick usually ended up with what we created after we got fed up with them

Yea the good old days we chopped anything and everything back then and had a great time doing it , that MK2 Escort was tax n tested and solid and we paid 60 quid for it ......how times change
