Non car friends . .

What do your non car friends think of you and your automotive obsession? Mine just don't get it . . . They talk about noisy cars with loud exhausts and idiots doing burnouts and all I can do is sit there with a big fat grin lol8-)8-)

Most of my mates are into their motors like me but i do get the raised eyebrows when i go on about old skool stuff

Barring Herb Capri on here (who I've known since the early 90's) none of my older friends are into cars at all, just the local ones I've met through here. My other friends tolerate my interests but don't really comment or get involved. My father on the other hand thinks I'm mad.

all of my mates really aren't interested although one wants a capri when he has room so maybe start messing with them together.

A lot of my mates don't understand why or how I could have spent so much cash on doing up my escort. But I do have one mate who completely understands........It was him who got me into old fords years ago and he owns a mk2 cortina savage .

 

The girlfriend thinks I'm completely barking and doesn't like the escort . Which is a shame as it means that I have to hoon it around Brighton without her...........waheeeeeey

Most my close friends are into cars ,but the neighbours don't like the noise and think why do you spend money on them old knackers when you could have a modern car,if I have something new on the drive they will say oh nice car ,if its an old ford they don't batter an eyelid

dont really have any non car friends bar the odd one or two i would bore a non car person to death i dont like anything unless it has a engine attached to it preferably with 4 wheels but will tolerate 2 if there racing

i have got one old mate who has a 1600e awaiting restoration (but this has sat doing nothing for years) a couple of others know a bit about old cars but they don't own one

All of my mates are petrol heads, I am in to motorbikes as well, so hang about

 

with a crew of like minded people there, another lot in to drag racing yanks

Virtually all of my close friends are into cars, most have minis tho which I can tolerate my work colleagues ask why I bother wasting my time and money and my parents, well they just let me get on with it within reason I'm 18, currently drive a mk5 cortina estate as a daily and have a 100e I'm doing slowly and a ml2 fiesta all my other mates go out and get wasted every weekend and complain they have no money, more fool you :L
