Hi I bought a 4 speed type 9 and the work was carried out by bgh , is the any Id markings.

Anybody used BGH gear kits, looking to bin the Quaife straight cut because of the noise, just looking around at helical kits and theirs seems very well priced. Any info would be appreciated.

Sorry I not been on here for a while the BGH box is wicked and them guys know gearboxes I send everyone who asks about boxes there

TheLoudboy, thanks for that it was mentioned you had one. Like you say the man knows his gearboxes, was so impressed by his knowledge and confidence in his product ie I would not break it! I ordered a kit there and then. Will tell what I think once I've fitted and used it.

Sorry for re lighting an old thread, but finally got my BGH box in the Anglia yesterday. WOW! So quiet so smooth. Can't wait to chuck it round the track and see if it breaks. Up to press all the views on these boxes is right

I got the pro-track HD synchro's 2.6 first output about 240. Totally agree with you on Chris, he's got the time to explain the whys and wherefore of his stuff not just sell something and piss off. Spoke to him a few times after purchase no problem. Like you say TOP bloke and you don't get many like him

I am going to BGH in a couple of weeks for a new box,never heard a bad word about them.i will mention the osf forum and see if I can get a little discount like you did col !

He offered to do the machining on the sychro hub FOC when I mentioned the OSF forum. Be prepared to be educated on boxes. Top man

I have a raised first gear set from them in a Type E 4 speed. He hadnt done one in over a decade apparently as everyone wanted sets for Type 9 5 speeds. I had to wait but well worth it. Singe most transforming thing you can do to an RS2000 even over and above a LSD. You dont realise just how bad the first gear is in those gearboxes till you get it changed. Well worth every penny.

Yep - looking forward to driving mine with the higher 1st - i'd forgotten how low std. 1st was when I went to buy the car - just had to be changed!
