you may have an unfair advantage as there is very little moisture or oxygen on MARS to make your pride n joy rust... ;)

Hahahaa! ;) my car will never be a minter, as long as I keep on top of the little bits that pop up occasionally I don't mind using it in all weathers!

I have used mine as my all year driver (I cant say every day as I dont need a car every single day) for almost 30 years. The service time for repairs have crept up over the years though and is now considerably longer especially if I have to wait for parts from the UK if something major breaks. I havent had many concerns about leaving it just about anywhere until recently. I think it had alot to do with reading some of the stolen car posts on here has just made me at bit paranoid. Looking for a very good and discreet immobiliser or ignition cut out of some sort just to ease some of the concerns that are creeping in,

I would love to use mine every day but im too tight! Daily diesel does over twice as many miles to the gallon, quite protective of all my cars, drives the mrs mad pulling into supermarket and parking away from all other cars, then why is it that some numpty parks right next to you?

Don't start me on that one! EVERY mark on the side of my daily has appeared after a trip to the supermarket, the spaces are narrow but care and attention to other users wouldn't hurt would it? I've taken to taking pictures of any car I'm parked beside before entering the store.

Its a sad state of affairs when everyone is to paranoid to drive their OSF due to the fear of the number of scumbags about!

And rightly so, but it seems to be worse in the Ford scene than and other classic scene that I have encountered

Makes owning an OSF not the pleasurable experience it once was :(

I'm using mine as a daily at the moment, as I don't have a car of my own yet. Just returned back to the UK from working in Dubai and am currently looking for a job now.  Therefore, I'm hanging out from buying one yet, until I know what I'm doing.

RS is actually in the garage today having new rear Cossie callipers and brake lines fitted, due to the old callipers sticking/binding.  Can't do the job at home as the old pipes will need cutting off due to their age.

On the plus side, I got 45mins cardio in this morning walking back from the garage... :D

I used to drive my 4-door Mk3 Cortina every day, but over 3 or 4 years it quickly deteriorated - underbody corrosion mainly, but the paint blistered and it would have been a big job to keep it nice.

I'm afraid the 'new' Cortina will be staying in its garage and going out mostly on sunny days.

I use mine to go to work and for blasts around but I won't use it in the winter

As for scumbags nicking OSF I'm afraid the Mini scene is also rife with cars being nicked. Got a foot in both camps so get to see what a big problem it is

I have used mine quite a bit over the summer, but this morning I took it back to the storage place and parked it up next to the L/C. It may come out again this year but maybe not.

Back to the M5 for the daily drive, so don't go feeling sorry for me and that is no great hardship!
