Admin Vista Posted November 16, 2015 Admin Report Posted November 16, 2015 I'd just like to express my Thanks to Gary (Popeye) for organising a well run stand and to Leo, Confused (also Gary) and Deltamal (Malcolm) for taking the trouble to bring their cars to the show for the event. It's a three day show and needs to be set up the day before the show opens so it s a big time and money commitment for anyone who doesn't live locally, your commitment is duly noted and I am grateful for it.Thanks also to members who stopped by to say hello, amongst these were Rossmk2, Colr6, Russian Bear and Danish. There were a few others but I'm sorry, the usernames escape me now. Apologies to anyone who stopped by whilst I wasn't there.Well it was a great, if incredibly busy, show with lots to see and some stunning cars. For my part, the can performed impeccably, manning up to the duties of merchandise load warrior and covering the 450 mile round trip without incident. I got home at about 10pm last night, thanking heaven for the swift Rain-X application I applied to the front screen before I left. Most of my pics are of the Fords present but I did also really like the Avenger Tiger abd Black / Gold Lotus Sunbeam on their owner's club stand. Apologies for the poor quality of some of them, the lighting in Hall 5 was pretty poor and my phone flash not up to t task of compensating for it.My first batch of pictures below, there are loads more and are in no particular order 1
Confused Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 Thanks for having me on the stand As you said, it was an expensive weekend for me to bring my car down, but well worth it to spend the time with you all, show off the car to the public, and generate some more interest for Old Skool Ford! 2
SmokeEm Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 Scott, did that black Mk2 Transit have a Rover V8 in it? If so, that was stored in the same barn that my P100 came from. It had been in there 5yrs last year waiting for his brother to fit a new gearbox.
ianb10 Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 Some very nice looking cars there. Pity I was ill all weekend with food poisoning and wasn't able to go, oh well maybe next year. 1

I'm not sure Dave, I didn't see it with the bonnet up. There's a far more obvious difference from standard though, it's set up like an articulated lorry tractor unit. I thought it was quite cool personally.
SmokeEm Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 Yeah, the one I saw was too. Twin axles, chrome & lights everywhere
Admin Vista Posted November 16, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted November 16, 2015 Probably be the same one then
Leo Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 It had an Essex v6 in it. I feel a bit of a cheat, I only live 5 miles away from the NEC. But the limited time I was there I enjoyed it.
Admin Vista Posted November 16, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted November 16, 2015 The rest of the pics I took, being an exhibitor allows us to get in before the show is open to the public and therefore get some shots without people walking by or in camera. There was a lot lot more from other marques there. This is just Ford corner from Hall 5 (of 5) that were full of cars or car related traders. Plus of course one or two of my favourite non Fords thrown in. The other end of the transit mentioned earlier in this thread And finally, having performed sterling service over a high speed 450 mile round trip, she was put back to bed (still wet and dirty) having arrived home late yesterday evening 2

Admin Vista Posted November 19, 2015 Author Admin Report Posted November 19, 2015 Oh, do tell! Somebody at the NEC was less than careful with moving Gary's Gazebo on Thursday night when they decided it was too close to their fire point. It was a bit twisted when Gary came in on Friday morning.
