as you don't have to display a tax disc anymore I thought it would be cool to get a replica one that would of been on the car when new, I'm a bit tight and didn't want to pay so I found a picture online and cleaned up the pixilation up with photoshop which took hours lol I think it looks cool, I'm sure I'm not the first to do this but thought I would share

The site I went to wanted £7 I thought that was expensive for a bit of paper, I'm sure it would of been better quality but no ones going to notice, well apart from you lot as I told you lol

i did one just like it for my anglia, i copied a dec'61 one as my anglia was first reg'd june '61, but you could buy 4, 6 or 12 months tax back then so there is a choice of dates .

I have one in my car, the wife got it for me and had it dated to replicate the original expiry of its 1st tax, ie 1 year after the cars 1st registration.

im torn as to buying one, as the car no longer has its original registration

the car was bought in 2011/2 (have to pull paperwork out for the exact year) just for the purpose of removing its original plate and fitting it to a motorcycle

thats the part that really annoys me, dont think it should be allowed personally, but thats life

so if i fit a tax disc with the current reg no, it wont really be right

what r your thoughts
