aardvark101 Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 I think most of my footage would end up on the edit suite floor, due to the colloquial references regarding other road users /pedestrians/ effing Horses & Cyclists 4
VivaLaRic Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 There would be plenty of piss taking when driving with mates although I can't see much of it being safe to broadcast
Moderator Rally Pack 2000 Posted March 1, 2016 Moderator Report Posted March 1, 2016 When I first got my car in my teens I wanted to film driving this very dangerous almost single lane road that twisted down to a place called Jenolan Caves. The road ended by driving into the main cave arch and through to the other side where people parked to then take tours of the caves. Video cameras were out of my financial reach then so I got a super 8 film camera and built it into a headlight bucket and replaced one of the headlights with it. No cable release was long enough so I used something they call an air release where you squeeze a rubber bladder that pumped air along a tube and triggered the camera at the other end. Then when we got to the last few kms the twistiest part into the caves and just went flat out while activating the camera in the headlight bucket. 3 mins and 20 seconds was all the time you got for a roll of film so had to be sure we got to the caves in that time before running dry. When got into the grand arch did a handbrake turn so the camera panned around to point back up the road again. Still have the film. You probably get arrested and end up on the 6 o'clock news for doing something like that now. Then the kids at the caves just pointed and smiled.
colr6 Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 Would be a good idea for us old gifts with bad memory once we've got to where we are going just put the tape in reverse to get home 1
accord83 Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 Too expensive for a Northern Monkey, just a roll of green garden twine on a stick, tie it to the gate post and wind it in to find home. 1

accord83 Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 Nah, I'm a technomuppet, I tie a message to the collar of my homing whippet. 1
SmokeEm Posted March 1, 2016 Report Posted March 1, 2016 What is this concept of 'Interacting' with each other on a journey?
accord83 Posted March 2, 2016 Report Posted March 2, 2016 I think it's called dogging, but I might be wrong.
